Does your cat like to get high?

My cat Frodo sits with us sometimes when we're smoking. Our jam room gets pretty hotboxed and Frodo starts to look pretty baked  :smirk:

After he did this once he seemed to start coming back for more as soon as we light up. Sometimes he even gets up to stick his head in clouds of smoke!

I think he likes it  :smirk:

Does anyone else know of a cat that likes bud?

My dog does!
He sits next to everyone when we are tokin up.
And he waits for you to blow the smoke in his face.
If you don't...he gets mad!

My dog is a mad smoker. Whenever I toke here at my house he always wants to be there. If we try to kick him out of the room, he cries. So we just let him stay.

My cat does, whenever i smoke inside, she is always the first one there waiting for me to blow some hits in her face, after a few hits she (no kidding) eats a bunch of cat food then takes a nap. hah what a lightweight  :smirk:

and if I leave, and come back stoned (without getting her stoned) she gets mad at me for a while...

Its kind of funny,  I can fake sober infront of my parents, but not my cat...

Yup my family's cat loves it. He jumps up on my chest and just holds on to me whenever I smoke. Then whenever I blow the smoke out he holds his head right into it. After a short while he gets all squinty eyed and starts purring uncontrollably. Then its only a matter of time before it attacks its food bowl. It's really the only relationship the cat and I have...since I'm not a cat fan. But it truly does enjoy it.

I used to get my cat High all the time :smile:  he'd come downstairs and lay in my room till i got home from work, and he wouldent leave until i finished toking.. lol :smile:

My cousin lives on a farm. Whenever I'm out there and we go out to the barn for some smoke, one of his cats always comes visits us.

It wants you to blow smoke in its face, then it purrs, and loves getting pet. Cats are cool.

every few months a bunch of people start a thread that promotes drugging their animal and try to justify it by personifiying their pet claiming they like it.
with all the common sence out there, why does it keep happening, who knows?

This is a cool thread. My animals don't really like weed at all.

I don't think there's anything at all wrong with blowing pot smoke in your pets face if they like it. How could it be wrong??

Listen I love my cat man. He's awesome. I wouldn't hurt him.

And trust me, he knows when we're smoking. I don't have to bring him into the room and blow smoke in his face, he comes in by himself and sits around.  :smirk:

hey man... my cat really does like it!! he just lays there in between whoever is smoking and sticks his little nose up in the air and sniffs it all up... my roomie's room was small and ALWAYS full of smoke... I swear he spent most of his time in there... he'd get all chink eyed and just lay there and chill and goto sleep... then as soon as we were done toking he'd get up and go eat then want to go outside, where he would just lay in the porch, with his little paws hanging off.

he also ate a couple mushrooms one day... he went outside and didn't come back for over 24 hours... I thought he was dead for sure... but he came back with stick-tight things all in his fur from the pasture behind us... and hid under my roomie's bed for 2 days, only coming out to eat and use the litter box.

heh. bad trip i guess.

Drugging animals? With pot? Its pot. It doesnt knock them unconscious or make them act insane, it just makes them feel high.

Also.. Dogs are incredibly intelligent. They can learn what is pleasurable and what isnt (imagine that!). You would think if every time they smelled and inhaled marijuana smoke (which has an incredibly distinct smell) and experienced something unenjoyable, they wouldn't come around it. And if they liked it, then they would.

Come on now, pets arent stupid. Well, a lot of dogs arent.

so long as you aren't forcing your pet to do somthing, I cant see what is wrong with letting it get stoned

animals use drugs in the wild all the time!
deer (aswell as primates) eat rotten windfall apples to get pissed (its proven, they go for the rotten ones over the fresher stuff)

cats fukkin love catnip (a type of mint plant) it sends them up the walls

I remember being at this guys house a few years ago and he gave his cat some coke. The cat ran around acting crazy for a while and then came back meowing for more, so he gave it more and it went back into it's crazy wired behaviour and was soon back for more. Eventually the dude decided he wasn't giving away anymore of his stash to a cat. What's funny is that cat followed him around for the rest of the day begging for more...

ahha my mom fosters little kittens and every single one i have smoked out.....not too much though because they are developing, but i will smoke my little feline friends out...marijauna is meant for everything

I had a different problem though.  I bought my cat some catnip for Xmas.  It started out kinda cool with him playing and acting goofy.  Then, I discovered some of the baggie was missing.  After that I found a complete kit of "kitty artillery" with a tiny spoon, mini-syringe, and some stuff to do extraction with. :frown:  I was very concerned.  But I was even more concerned when not only did the baggie turn up empty but certain cat toys came up missing.

He had been selling them on the street to get money for more dope. :frown:

I didn't say anything to him until some of my cd's turned up missing and then MY ENTIRE STEREO SYSTEM!!!

Then, we had to have a long talk.  He told me how sorry he was and has taken odd jobs at other houses in the neighborhood catching mice so he can buy me a new system.  I have my doubts that it will work but at least he is trying.

In the meantime I signed him up for Kitty Anonymous, a 12 step program which supposedly works.

I have my eye on him though and regularly consult with his therapist to see if his "improvement" his real or fake.
