I think IBM developed some RAM a few years back that had more than the usual two states (1 and 0). I think the state of an address was determined by voltage level. The chips required a lot more extras on them, because they needed a new controller chip to monitor voltage levels.

This "maybe" is what make us diferent from computers, we can use imagination and go (existencialy) where computers have never gone before. There are things you can answer "maybe", computers just can't, just imagine yourself under the influence of a truth sorum, it would suck !

yea, but we were "programmed" with that 2, just like we could probably program a computer with differents opinions and ways to react. maybe our programming is incredibly elaborate, and it isnt that there is a 2, only so much coding that we can react a number of ways. we do become limited in the ways react sometimes, when something "impossible" happens, that doesnt compute.
