Re: Buying an FM Transmitter for my car today [Re: Gumby]

I bought one that worked surprisingly well, cost me $40. My mom ended up breaking it and bought a new one that was terrible. I bought a cassette transmitter today for half the price and it works just as good as plugging it into an aux input.:awesome:

also you could always wear headhones i see people doing that quite a bit

I'm pretty sure that it's illegal to wear headphones and drive in most states. It's illegal because the government claims that you are going to have music so loud that it drowns out emergency sirens and horns, making you a hazard on the roads.

I think you're only allowed to wear it in one ear or something.

well.... i went to target and bought a belkin fm transmitter and it SUCKS ASS!!! i know most people said the quality is horrible, but i didnt know it was going to be that bad. im sooo dissapointed. i will be taking it back. haha

i was told that it might help to have the transmitter as close as possible to the antenna. not sure if this is true, but i would have to buy some sort of ext. so i can reach to the trunk. its not even worth it so i decided to take it back and deal with the radio.

99.5 kiss sucks and 99.7 kinda sucks.

You should buy a CD player with aux input and MP3 capabilities.

My CD player has USB ports in the front and back, and an aux headphone jack input, and reads Mp3s on disk(you can fit several CD's on one disk).

You can get one between 150-200 bucks. Your sound will be 10x better.

You can hook an Ipod, Droid, or even a USB thumb drive into the USB port and play music through it. If you don't have a device with a USB hookup, it has the 3.5mm(headphone) audio input as well.

If I had the money, I would get a USB powered external hard drive and stick it in my glove box and have it hooked to my CD player. Yeah, that's fucking pimp.
