Not yet.  Still waiting for it to become available in my area.  My buddy in Tampa has FIOS and it makes my already fast connection seem like dial-up.

I lold at the commercials, however, I think that its only available in major markets. The few commercials I watched were for NYC.

What a coincidence, the Mexicans were out digging in my front yard laying fiber optic cable just today...

They do a very good job of cleaning up, I'd be pissed if they would have torn up my lawn and left it trashed.

I've got comcast now and get between 20-25mbit down and 5-7mbit up. I'll be interested to see what Fios can offer me.

Do you have any kind of download limit per week/month with that plan?

Here is why I ask: I have a theory about download limits on phat internet connections. I think ISPs are trying to make it difficult for you to download all your movies and TV from the internet. When you download TV and movies, none of your money goes to the TV or movie companies (which we all know are in cahoots with the ISPs).

Maybe that's just how it is in Canada, though. Here that's what's actually happening. ISPs (the biggest of which are also telephone and/or TV providers) have made deals with the big record and movie companies. The ISPs have agreed to make it difficult to get all your TV and movies and music off the internet by enforcing ridiculous monthly download limits, and in return ISPs are not sued by said record and movie companies for the actions of their customers. No, seriously.  :tinfoil:

But, uh, if you don't have a download cap with that connection, that's exceedingly awesome.

Yeah, I'm interested in the Fios transfer cap too. Comcast recently started a 250gb/month cap, which isn't too bad unless you are trying to host a server or are downloading incredibly large amounts of porn.

I've been using the transfer monitor and I average around 150-190gb a month.
