No, it's a really crazy form of psychedelic trance. It originated from Goa, India and the beats and patterns are not developed in to a standard drop or does it really maintain any kind of consistency.

There is a very good series of Goa Trance on youtube called "This is Goa Trance" by PsycloneD

Here are some that I really like:

http://www.youtube.com/user/PsycloneD#p/u/25/4zJgzrSb26M

http://www.youtube.com/user/PsycloneD#p/u/44/H6K2lwECJ2o

http://www.youtube.com/user/PsycloneD#p/u/55/vrwqSIPbgC8

http://www.youtube.com/user/PsycloneD#p/u/13/GDpp0oaD0yc

He has over 60 videos up of just Goa Trance, but he also has acid and psychedelic trance as well. His videos give you good previews into what certian artists have to offer, and if you like a certain atrist youtube will most likely have a bunch of their music up. His videos sometimes have links to other people's channels like: RightHandOfTrance, OutOfBodyExperience and others.

Thought it was worth an Edit so I could put this in:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Goa_Trance

It has a history and all that and then some notable artists on the right hand side.

Oh, and you can buy electronic music in general from the psyshop if you really wanted some CD's.
