Who named Mephedrone "Meow Meow"?

I was watching CNN and they just had a report about it that stuff is so viral these days, but i wonder where its slang came from. Does it have anything to do with that south park episode about cat piss?

i believe it has something to do with being the active in "khat".

it's called that in reference to that it is synthesized from the khat plant. khat -> cat -> they meow.

ohhhhhhhhh that makes perfect sense
Khat contains cathine (d-norisoephedrine), cathidine, and cathinine but meph is 4-methylmethcathinone (4-MMC) so it is a cathinone :werd:

yeah pills can be any number of things here- mostly pharms- but i call ecstasy tablets ecstasy tablets :shrug: i hear them called rolls and beans a lot though.

I read somewhere that meow meow came from it's chemical abbreviation 4-MMCAT.
