strange problem accessing site.

hey, starting maybe this week or the week before, every once in awhile i'll click on a shroomery link (main or forum) and it'll just try and load it forever, the page never changing.

like, i can't access anything, it doesn't even give me a timeout message.

this has been happening a bunch, and so i asked someone else if the shroomery was down for them and they said "no".

no other websites are effected. when the shroomery is down i can still go anywhere else on the web normally.

what the fuck is this?

i had this same issue the other day. perhaps Ythan was doing updates or something, i'm not sure. first Shroomery wouldn't load at all - it just hung there saying it was loading but doing nothing - and the Growery was working fine. then the Growery started to do it for about 30mins then everything was fine on both sites.

i felt like chiming in even though you have me ignored, since i was experiencing the same thing and have experienced the same thing on a couple of occasions.

I have been having the same problem almost constantly.
So much so that it feels like a treat when things load up correctly.
I have high speed interwebz so IDK??
But it is odd that other sites load up fast and fine.

Please continue to post any specific error messages as well as circumstantial information related to troubles you may be experiencing with the site.

The only problem I'm having is that pages/posts etc just sit and load forever before going anywhere. :thumbup:

I was having the same problems with things taking forever to load, but now all i'm getting is images not loading when i click on them.

This happens EVERY time i click on an image and is pretty annoying as i hang out in the garden a fair bit.

Just so you know i have the enhanced image viewer turned off, but even with it on, it just says "loading" forever.

this is the error message i'm getting:

If you're having connectivity problems please go to http://downforeveryone.com/ and enter the URL which isn't loading. This will tell you if the site is actually down everywhere or if it's just affecting you. Then please let me know. I'm aware of some performance issues due to high load but nothing that should cause connections to hang indefinitely without giving an error.

I'm not getting a specific error message, but i've been having page load errors recently, mainly when I enter a forum, not a thread.  it only loads about four threads, then blank all the way to the bottom.  No other issues.

I was just coming here to post about slow load times and found this thread.  It only seems to have started happening in the past few weeks, or at least that when I've started noticing it. 

I've had the times where it just sits there forever and doesn't load but others it does but takes long enough to cook a grilled cheese sandwich or other pan cooked type dish.

i've actually noticed an improvement, it still does it but seems like only for 30 seconds - a minute.

That's good, I'm pretty sure I know what the problem is. It has to do with the new feature which lets you search by word count. The fix is straightforward, but a pain in the ass. I'll try to get to it within the next few days.
