What is this highest misery? I'd say the transcendence of duality could be conceptualized as a malleable neutral. I feel most people would choose good though.

Oh I'm not denying you can choose good over evil; it just sounds like Chronic is giving some higher metaphysical/ontological presence to Good (evil is only the absence of good) when I can make similar arguments to Evil (good is only the absence of evil).  I'm trying to get Chronic to explain why he thinks Good is ontologically superior to Evil, if that makes any sense.

I think I may agree with Chronic that the Universe is inherently good. If you subscribe to the theory that all is ultimately One, then I'd say this One is "good" rather then "evil." Connection to the source is "good", whereas disconnection is illusion, ignorance or "evil".

So by transcending the illusion of duality we realize evil is simply the One interacting with itself - for whatever reason we can't yet understand from our limited perception.

I disagree for reasons that I cannot fully articulate.  Look into accounts of demonic possession etcetera (MarkosTheGnostic has some good links); it seems apparent IMO that there is positive evil in addition to negative evil (which is what you're trying to define all evil away as).

I agree there may be higher evils than humans and our earthly plane. The Law of One Ra Material has some interesting things to say about this... Essentially STS (ego/evil) cannot make it all the way... it begins the break down in the higher densities.

A candle in a dark room is a good metaphor. Whereas the light can illuminate the room, the darkness cannot extinguish the light.

both paths lead to the same place, it's just STS takes a lot longer to get there (but arguably is more fun)

or at least that's what I got out of the Ra Material

Those 3 fish are interesting...what do they signify?

Those are interesting.

Don't fish have something to do with rebirth?? I seem to rmemeber that Osiris was eaten by fish and then Isis had to get his body back from them before resurecting him......something like that.  Plus they always come back to lif after being eaten in all the native american myths.  Plus theres the Icthhys.

Somebody help me out here.

In any scriptures there are important numbers...Why I was interested in these 3 fish is because it reminded me of a certain scripture...It was also interesting that you said it came from Judaic culture.

In the 21st chapter of John

Jesus said to them, "Bring some of the fish which you have now caught." 11Simon Peter went up and drew the net to land, full of large fish, a hundred and fifty-three

153 is an interesting number, and it seems like an important enough number to be put in an archaic scripture. Ofcourse though to the hebrews, or even the egyptians, Numbers meant so much more than what we think of them as...if that makes sense:strokebeard3:

1 5 3

The one reminded me of the eye in the center of the hand, 5 being the number of fingers on a human hand, and 3 being the 3 fish, or the trinity, or perhaps just an interesting synchronicity with the number 3...not to mention the early "christians" were drawing the classic fish symbol beneath rome while the leaders of rome were killing these "christians" along with any other pagan religion of the time, including the druids, the cathars...etc

According to the LoO, STS cannot exist higher than the 6th density. So in that context they wouldn't lead to the same place.

I'm not too sure if we can equate the LHP with STS, and the RHP with STO.

1. How can we be sure that the 6th density "level cap" isn't just a distortion?
2. Isn't the problem at that level that one needs to accept love but one's ego (metaphorical or not) is too big by that point (what with Pride and all) to want to give up whatever needs to be given up to move on to the 7th density?
3. There seem to be parallels to Crowley's talk of Black Brothers here.  I agree there might not be an exact correlation between the HPs and STx's... perhaps one takes one of the two paths to graduate to the next density (4th)?

We can't be sure, and don't think for a minute I'm not making a lot of assumptions when theoretically arguing this metaphysical stuff. hehe

Yea, I believe it is along the lines of one's self-love disconnecting them from the source, which is necessary to sustain the life essence. Apparently this is the case for the cliche "Greys".

Yea, apparently either path is necessary to graduate to the corresponding STS or STO density.

The above image is an image of the hamsa amulet. This amulet is part of a tradition in judaism and it is part arabic culture. The hamsa amulet is of pagan origins and its use pre-dates judaism. As you can see this image is of a hand with an eye on the palm. This amulet is often worn as a pendant and it is for the purpose of warding off the evil eye.

The evil eye is a situation where someone or a number of people hate you and they hate you due to jealousy or maybe the origin of hatred is some other motivation. So when people hate you they send negative energy to you and the hatred itself has the potential of being destructive by itself.

Often times people who are hated will engage in self-destructive behavior because due to being hated they start to destroy themselves. Many people who are engaging in very self-destructive behaviors are victims of the evil eye.

The amulet hamsa creates a force-field(auric-shield) that protects you from the energy of hatred. The hand in the amulet symbolized "halt". Traffic cops will hold their hand with their palm facing outward to tell cars to stop. The eye on the amulet represents the evil eye. So the amulet communicates through its symbolism: "halt evil eye"... hence the amulet halts the evil eye.

I also think this symbol could potentially mean a lot more than this ^
