Good bye to everyone, my time here was well spent, and I think I have gained a lot from coming here. The internet has become to much of a priority for me, and I think I am ready to let it go for a while. < Who am I kidding...I'm hooked for life.

I'll have to check that out ;D For some reason indian music just has such a loving and calming tone to it.

Indian music is awesome tripping music! One of my favourite to listen to.

It is intensly psychedelic when they start improvising and really getting into it.

I definitely recommend!

I guess its an acquired taste I have a feeling I'd need to do a lot of tasting before I acquired anything... different strokes I suppose.  That melody started driving me crazy a minute into it

Yea, Indian music is very different from our western pop/rocknroll style. It took me some getting used to, at first it sounded like the notes and timing was all off and weird.

Now it's :omgawesome:

Did he dream about dragons? Did he dream about deer? Did he whisper  he names of friends who were near?
What songs did they play, and how far away? Why did he whisper, why did she scream?
What does the sound of a screen door mean?
Who talks on the hill? Who goes to the cellar, can you feel the chill? Where does the river, when will the wind?
How far are the mountains? Where do they end? Why would the church?
Did the service begin? Tell me who died, and tell me who cried.
Help me hide in the skin of a deer, my zippered-up bag in the mouth of a stag so swiftly I go through rows of does,
it flows, it flows, it flows, it flows all over the hill where the green grass grows.

Haha, yea I have tablas on my list.

It's intense though, a serious practitioner of a classical indian instrument treats it as a spiritual path. They combine it with yoga, meditation, find a guru-- it's really intense, but it produces people like Ravi Shankar...

Closest I've got to listening to Ravi while tripping is George Harrison's experimental sitar songs.
