Disc Golf

Who here likes to disc golf? It was really nice out today so I threw some disc and had a good round despite the fact I haven't thrown in a while. Had a niiice birdie on the 18th hole.

I love it, and am pretty good, but no expert. Ever since I lost my favorite driver, it has taken alot for me to play. I need a new one that I can chunk

I'd like to be able to throw side arm but I'm bad at it. I throw forearm, I think that's the term for it, like regular frisbee style.

I'm the opposite, i want to be able to throw like a normal frisbee, but I can't control the curve on it, and when I throw sidearm I can get it to go where I want it too.

Once you learn to throw regular, it becomes much more beneficial. You can get alot more distance for holes that require it.

Really? I throw farther with sidearm than most people do with regular throwing styles.

well eventually once you can get it to go straight with the regular method relatively consistently, you can wind up and use your whole body to chunk it, versus just your wrist and arms. You get the waste and shoulders more. Then again my friend carson uses sidearm and is pretty good. I just think disc golf discs work better straight. Whatever floats your boat I guess.

frolf is a great time. went today in the snow almost lost my disc once but eventually stumbled on it. i throw sidearm as well, although i would like to learn how to throw forearm. prob is im too lazy to practice at it.

Hehe. There's so many different ways to throw it! One of my body is really good with just rolling the disc, it blows my mind. All this talk makes me wish the snow would melt faster so i could go play!

I like Disc golf! We have a great course here. Mind you, I'm pretty bad at it, but it's great exercise for me and it's a good opportunity to get some fresh air as well.
