Don't you hate in disc golf when...
    #11473494 -

You throw a nice shot only to not be able to find it even though you know it's in the middle of the fairway. Fuck I hate this, just happened to me. No where else the fucking thing could have gone, stupid ass leaf colored disc. I just quit after looking for 15 min. I couldn't care less if I'd of thrown it in the water, but the fact that it's right there in plain site yet you can't see it... grrr... I wish disc golf were a person so I could strangle them.

I've never actually played disc golf but I used to play a lot of frisbee and always preferred white. They don't look as good but they are easier to spot and can be used in low light conditions.

I hate it more when I would have gotten a hole in one, but it just hits the basket and bounces out.:crankey:

Ya bright colors are ideal(that aren't green). I had a couple bright greens disks. Needless to say I don't have them anymore.

I had that happen to me one time.  I was playing this hole, where you throw off a >100 ft cliff onto a wide fairway covered in wildflowers that were no more than 6" tall.  I threw my disc, and watched it land from the top of the cliff.  After walking down a long, steep staircase to get to the fairway, I couldn't find the damn thing anywhere.  I looked for well over a half hour, just walking in circles trying to avoid discs that were landing all around me.  I thought I was going insane because there was absolutely no spot within 100 feet that could hide a disc! :mad2:

Bryant Lake Park?

Ya, that has to be Bryant Lake, I love that course. One of the only courses in the area you have to pay to play though.

oh man.  i fucking miss disc golf.  i never really got into it until this past summer.  but i was playing the fuck out of it.  and it's like the fates wanted me to.  i went out with a borrowed disc my first time.  when i finished the course, i had found two discs without numbers written on them.  and then the second time i found like six more, four of which did not have numbers [and i did call the guys to return their discs].  it was awesome.

after that, i started playing every day.  sometimes twice.  both alone and with a few friends.  and almost always with my bowl and my lady mj.  man... this summer was fucking awesome.  i'm sad its gone.

btw, i've definitely spent well over an hour looking for my favorite disc before.  still never found it.

Hell ya, I've played all of the courses West of the cities. Shakopee or Crown college are my favorite free ones.

If his disc was green he wouldn't be losing it in leaves on the ground would he?

It wasn't green (it's fall leaves aren't green anyways ), it's an off white color. It wasn't too hard to see a couple weeks ago when the leafs were all vibrant, but now it just blends in perfectly. It's really not the color of any single leaf or dead grass, but it seems to be the color that is in between all of them just so that it's hard to find right in front of you.

I think the longest I've ever looked for a disc was probably about 45 min. I got so angry, traced my steps at least 10 times in every place. I destroyed so much foilage both looking for it and taking out my anger, the reason was that were was no other disc like that, I couldn't just buy a replacement (the disc actually sucked horribly to an average person, or me now, it's understable as fuck cause it's so old, but it flew perfectly back then when my backhands tended to have alot of hyzer). I eventually gave up and right when I did I saw it sitting very precariously directly above me in a tree.

That was what I decided after I finally stopped looking.  I had to talk myself into believing it though.  Who steals a disc that is in play, in the middle of a fairway?  Not only would they be stealing my disc, but they would be screwing with my game at the same time! :crankey:

One time me and my friend were playing at a local course, it's a par 3 and you throw across a pond/lake to the basket. Very soon as it lands and we're walking over there this guy comes by and just picks up his disc and starts walking away. My friend ran up to him and asked about it and he said 'Oh, I just saw this disk on the ground' and made no other comment even though my friend was giving him a 'wtf?' kind of tone. Not sure if he intended to steal it or not, but it was obvious he felt as though he'd done something wrong.
