Do you have a preference with your putters? I'm most picky about mine, compared to my other discs. If you robbed me for my discs and let me keep only one it would be my Omega SuperSoft putter.

Haven't played for a while, since I left Alaska, looking forward to getting into it with friends again when I get back in a few weeks.

Probably still have the course record (at least among people I know) at one course

DNKYD have you always used a putter?  I just don't like em.

Always. The first year I played I thought it didn't matter what kind I used, so I had about 3 different ones in my bag. Then I found the SuperSoft and started kicking ass with it. I've got about 5 or 6 now and it's all I use.

Man where are some places to play around here?
I fucking love disc golf, but I left my discs at home since I don't know of any places.

Interesting, using a putter instead of just putting with my regular disk always threw me off.

I tried a few times but always just managed to play better using only the one Firebird disc I had, I think that's what it was called anyway. Lost it in a river though.

No problem.

Whenever I decide to take my disc golf road trip, probably next fall, I'll hit you up when I pass through your parts.

I forgot to mention that all of this is "league play".

(all holes are par 3)

I scored -1 this morning after munching a cap.

I played yesterday; it was SO windy that I didn't even keep score.

Everybody's disc where turning over in the wind on nearly every single drive.

I made quite a few putts in the wind though; the other day I traded putter/approach discs with my buddy, and the one I got in that trade is slayin' the putts.

I drive with an Aerobie Epic which is an elliptical disc.

In my hands it goes about 300-400 feet;
I have seen people who can drive a normal disc 500+ feet...simply amazing.

EDIT:
I just found this awesomely cool site to look up courses:

Hey, ive been doing it since '95. enjoy the game for the fun of it. I got caught up in competing, and you end up making it tough on yourself in the long run. Enjoy the people and places, enjoy the nature. As time passes, travel to local PDGA events, then maybe try a year of your states circuit (if they have one). After time, shoot for the big ones, try to play enough PDGA's to get a Worlds invite. If you are east coast, i recommend the USDGC in the fall. Watch the pros play!!! Reminds me, ill have to shroom at that one day! go to www.pdga.com and let the games begin!

Roachman, sounds like with your power, you need to get a Destroyer, Exclaibur or my fave, the good ol TeeRex. Yes im in Innova land! Flash is a good one by Discraft. Big bead Aviars will always be the putter! Buzzes and Wasps for ups. I havent played in awhile, i want too now!!!!

I love disc golf. It's one of the best things to do in my opinion.
It's a fantastic game. It brings people together, and you get to chill with your friends and walk around the woods. Nothing wrong with that.

I lived down the road from Cliff Stephens, it's a tight place and Ken Climo's home course.
Ken Climo is the greatest disc golfer to ever throw a disc. 11 time world champion, the guy is a fucking monster.
I've played with him a couple times, he's a stand up guy.

Nope, and it's a fun way to walk a few miles as well.

my husband a good friend and i have been playing multiple times on a weekly basis. i think we've gone at least 60+ times since the end of april!

we've introduced it to many of friends and they all love it too. i guess since it's so laid back and u can smoke some herbage whilst playing :P

i use all innova discs...skeeter for putt and approach and roadrunner/boss/wraith for long distance.

don't plan on playing any tournaments but i do have a few coworkers who are semi professional disc golf players. personally, i think the whole tournament aspect takes out the fun in the game...can't smoke up either or drink beer while it goes on :frown:
