I don't know.  But I'm thinking practical, seeing as how I don't have lots of $$ and few psychedelics.  I think I will just take extra good care of myself that day, like a bubble bath, extra hot yoga, some young coconut water out of a wineglass, that type of thing.  I also have a lot of DMT. 

Basically I just want the day to be special for me so that I don't feel a sense of "lack" on a day when everyone else is so focused on another person.

Another stupid holiday.
What is great though is having an awesome girlfriend who doesn't celebrate any holidays.
Never gotten her a Christmas/Valentines/Sweetest nada, only Birthday in the 3 years we been together.
It works out real nice.

I think exchanging gifts is fun, especially with somebody you're really close to.  I love picking out that perfect thing that's just going to make their eyes light up.  Doesn't have to be something expensive, it doesn't even have to be something you buy, just the right selection criteria is key.

is a girlfriend ever really awesome to most people?  i think there's something wrong with me because, sure they're fun and all, and some are even smart and intriguing, but the reality is it'll most likely just lead to more stress than it's worth to try and support another person when you dont even know if they actually care about you.


whatever i guess im a loner, i cant trust people enough and am too cynical about the female intentions :confused:

well first of all, you can never count on anyone else to support or care about you. any relationship carried on that basis will fail inevitably.

all you can do is find someone who you like to hang out with and say ok, we're gonna stand next to eachother, pursue our own goals and help eachother when we can, but no relationship is ever going to complete a person. its about commitment, not necessity. no one "needs" anyone else.

you just gotta hope for someone you can have fun with, enjoy some sex, and share your hopes and whatnot.. someone who feels the same about this fleeting existence.

but yeah, i haven't had a girl for a bit, so whatever, being alone is cool too :grin:

Valentine's day is one of the most retarded holidays by far.
Corporate hallmark created bullshit consumerism holiday.
"Hey! Show your love to your loved ones on this special day by buying expensive flowers, chocolates, cards and other things! Spend money!"
(and if you don't, you're a douchebag, and if you're single.. hahaha!)
Sure, treat your loved one extra nice, get her flowers,,whatever.. on ANY day of the fucking year.
Who needs some bullshit holiday where its EXPECTED to do that? It completely ruins it.
Fake ass romantic gestures. Raised expectations. BULLSHIT BULLSHIT BULLSHIT
Not to mention how it manages to make every single person feel like shit, if they give half a shit about the stupid holiday.
Or give people this twisted notion that being single is somehow a BAD thing.
Luckily, I'm with an amazing chick atm that appreciates that.. and she hates Vday as much as I do :laugh:
We're going to celebrate it like any other day. By having crazy passionate sex. No stupid gifts that are 'expected'
And my bday is the day after Valentines. That's whatever, woopee

Bottom line: Gifts are cool when they are random and spontaneous and from the heart.
When they are EXPECTED because of some dumbass holiday then fuck that.
