What kind of soap do you use?

I use dove
It smells good
makes my skin healthy
and it smells good :smile:
I have tried tons of soaps but have been using dove for four years now.  Most soaps dry out my skin, so I like ivory and oil of olay and the oat soaps but the other two smell funny.  :crazy:

Ivory. It's ordinary soap. I'm not in to all those skin smoothing perfumy soaps. Ivory does the job and makes by skin clean and washes off my oily skin.

Oops I just realized I use dove soap the white kind, I don't know why I said ivory???????

Ivory dries out my skin and smells funny like detergent or something

The fact that ivory soap floats almost redeeems itself and vanilla soap is for strippers, so maybe I will try that one out :wink: I enjoy the smell of vanilla though, its very soothing.
Dial dries out my skin real bad, but it makes me fel clean.

I make my own soap.  Most of it is a mixture of lard and lye but I also make various scented soaps like lavender and soaps without animal fat like Castile soap that is made from olive oil.

It's the best I've ever used.  Great lather with no residue!

The trick with Ivory is caused by whipping the soap at the second stage right after the milling.  It doesn't float because it is pure.  It floats because the whipping adds air to it.

They've been scamming the public for years with that line.

And my homemade soap costs me about 3 cents a bar. :smile:

Making your own soap sounds like a pretty good hobby.  I've tried castile soap with lavender, and liked it but I don't really dig the smell of lavender.  I think it had hempseed oil in it as well, but I can't remember.  I remember it made me feel refreshed.  I think I like bar soap better except when I forget to put it on the rack and it gets gooey on the outside. :frown:  I want to have nice skin when I get older!
