You heard me.  Don't Tax or Regulate marijuana 2010.  Fuck the california ballot initiative!!! Fuck people who wanna tax and regulate marijuana or any other herb or wanna tax and regulate any drug for that matter!!!  The only way to go is 100% tax free and unregulated drugs.  IF they tax and regulate marijuana I will buy illegal marijuana just to say fuck you or maybe i'll switch to smoking crack instead!  Tax free unregulated marijauna and unregulated tax free drugs.

the only person i can understand not wanting marijuana to be legalized and taxed is dealers of it. if it was to e legalized i wouldnt buy it anyway id grow my own infinite supply:awehigh:

Dude, everything you ever buy is taxed except drugs. Why shouldn't they be taxed? Besides, you'll be able to grow your own which is tax free.

I don't mind the taxation of it.  Pretty much everything else that is sold is taxed, so why would marijuana be any different?

Not to mention it would really help California with their budget problem.

If it has a ridiculously high tax on it then there will still be a black market where you can get it tax free.

Yeh I know.  Why tax even more?  I don't wanna pay taxes on drugs or anything else.  Just because they tax everything else doesn't mean you should succumb to them taxing what's left like the shit that comes outta your ass.

small steps man, small steps.. the only way we'll EVER get some legislation to end prohibition is if its taxed and regulated. after that happens, through the painfully slow political process, maybe you can get the taxes lowered on it, but be realistic.. we need decriminalization asap, and if they need to tax it for that happen, so be it.

NO fucking way!!!!  They'll just use all the tax money to pay for more prisons and more fucking bacon on the streets!! FUCK THAT!!!

Great idea... lets tax marijuana to fund keeping non violent drug offenders in jail longer...  thats one of the biggest reasons that we have a budget crisis...

So you'd rather hold back any progress in drug reform until you get exactly the policy that you want?  Politics doesn't work like that.  You fight for your cause, you lobby the people, and eventually you compromise on something that is the best you can get at the time, and then push for further reform.  Taxing and regulating marijuana is the only way we're going to get weed legalized at this point.  We can lobby to reduce the taxes later on(as for regulation, I think it makes sense to have some degree of it, even for something as benign as marijuana).

I think this thread best conveys my sentiments toward your proposal.

I'd rather pay a $200 ticket(current) on the rare chance I got caught than the farrr far more that would be wasted on taxes over the years!

It may one day, public approval for it is growing.

Besides, all it takes is one state, and it will be a domino effect just like Medical Marijuana.


It should be bought and sold and taxed. Nothing criminal about it.

Grow your own if you don't wanna pay taxes on it.

What's great about having this measure in California is that the dispensaries already provide a kind of social framework for the legal distribution of pot.

I wish my state had the chance to vote on legalization.  I did recently sign a petition to allow dispensaries.
