Basically a bunch of kids ate some strong ass weed brownies and started freaking out. So then of course the only logical explanation for this was there was heroin in the brownies.

I don't know much about heroin but I do believe it

Acids in your stomach break heroin down, so I doubt they were really heroin brownies.

Pretty sure heroin is orally active, just for the sake of discussion if it was heroin, what would be the point of putting it in brownies why not just swallow it, and if you're doing heroin there's no doubt you'd want to either smoke, it shoot it, or snort it.

No one who's into heroin is gonna want to waste it by putting it in brownies and giving them out to school kids. It's obvious the kids can't keep their cool at high doses.

:wtf: From what I've heard, heroin is the most expensive drug in this part of the country. Not a good choice to lace something with. I never understood why anyone would lace a substance with another substance. It's a waste of money and the purported tactic behind the act ultimately backfires. People always freak out when they get laced substances. They don't come back for more. :confused:

Yeah there's a couple things wrong with them being heroin brownies. First no dumbass is gonna waste his supply of heroin on high school kids' pot brownies. Second if there was heroin in them, they wouldn't have been tweeking out.

There is no way there was heroin in those brownies.  Heroin is not very active with oral administration, so there would have to be a bunch in each brownie for it to be felt.  At $7 to $10 each, there is no way that it would be cost effective to put heroin in those brownies to sell.  Stupid article. 

I just wish that one time a reporter would write an article saying dumb kids eat too much weed, freak out and the stupid parents/teachers/police officers/dumbasses in charge think it is a stronger drug.  And then go into a fact-based explanation on why they are probably wrong.  Just once I want that to happen.

Its possible someone found black tar heroin and baked brownies with it thinking it was hash, but I really doubt it if the test results haven't even come back yet.  Its pure speculation.  More likely scenario is they were really dank pot brownies.

i would expect to see something like that 30-40 years ago. nowadays reporters are so afraid to loose their job they question nothing.

there was a bit in the late 90s that Peter Jennings did on ecstacy. i remember he called out the government. something like "are the users right or is the government skewing test results to make it seem more dangerous than it really is?"

it was just odd seeing him say that. you dont see shit like that anymore.

And I do think that the acetyl groups break off of heroin in the high Ph of stomach acid thereby reverting to morphine. I could be wring, but that was the impression I was under.

Those would be some awful tasting brownies. The only dope ive tasted is some power white or hard ass brown chunks that they call raw around here. And that shit tastes awful, the brown shit smells and tastes like dog food but a tenth will light your ass up. And I only :rail2: it.

I think it is kind of funny when people freak out on weed brownies. I had a guy give me a cookie the size of a quater one time and told me to only eat half of it i said fuck that and ate the whole thing and was insanley high. I had a great time but i can see how someone not used to ingesting THC would trip out.
