 Ideas of where to hide a grow...

I need some ideas of something I could grow a cake or two in (but of course, the more the merrier!) I live with anti-drug parents so it needs to be hidden, here's what I've been thinking:
- Buy a big cheap speaker from a thrift store.
- Demonstrate how great it is to parents.
- Hollow it out
- Put in bulb/fish tank pump
- Grow some shrooms!
So, does anybody have a better suggestion than the speaker or something to add to my plan?

the plan is a good one. make sure that you can still play your music, and that they're not gonna ask you to take it back to the shop when they suss it's dead. stick to low-heat low-light christmas tree lights. don't use a heater in an enclosed environment - too dangerous. have a removable tray containing wet perlite, so you can work on it on another surface after you take it out. keep the front of the speaker easily accessible, but not obviously receiving regular attention, as your parents will make a beeline for it, assuming it's full of heroin.

I really like the mushroom stones for covert growing.
You can always take out the subwoofer then screw it back in after you put your bags in there.
I like the stones for the reason
of the bags r self contained
and the fact of noth having to light your hidding spot just knock them up and ur done for 2-3 months.
Somewhere had a gr8t deal on 4 bags and a syringe for like 70 bucks or something like that.
I don't think the sound of a working speaker will effect it
Another place is on top of a water heater. sometimes home builders try to hide the water heater thus helping u out.

i know you're not going to listen, but don't grow at your parent's house unless you get their permission. you're gonna get caught, period end of story.
more reasons for you not to grow
1. you're gonna get caught. already stated, but worth repeating.
2. if you're lucky, it's gonna be your parents that catch you. you'll get an ass beating and grounded from driving the civic hatchback with the coffee can for an exhaust. but you're not in any real trouble.
3. you're gonna tell your dumb friends (i'm assuming they're dumb because birds of a feather flock together) they're gonna tell their dumb friends and half the school is gonna know. parents are gonna find out, then the school and or cops are involved.
4. school involved. well, if you get busted at school, you're gone. say goodbye to your dumb friends, you're gonna have to make new ones. you'll be expelled immediately, and they will get the cops involved, which leads you to..
5. cops involved. sure, you can get your record sealed so no future employer will see your drug cultivation/dealing conviction (yes, giving/sharing drugs is "dealing"). but now you're ineligible for financial aid for school. you want to go to get your PhD in mycology, don't you? that's gonna be a lot of student loans. but what about your guardians?
6. cops involved, pt2. your parents. why was jimmy allowed to grow shrooms in his speaker? he must have bad parents. first, let's go best case scenario. everyone at school finds out, everyone's parents find out, and your parents are kicked off the PTA and no one will come to their barbeque. god dammit jimmy. now, say there's charges.. contributing to the delinquency of a minor, child neglegence, they can even get the cultivation charges themselves (since you're a minor and living under their house). if your parents hold any professional licesnses, such as Registered Nurse, they will lose them, and subsequently their jobs if they're not able to work without a license.
7. shroomery involved. no one here wants to be responsible for you. since this one doesn't directly affect you, i'll save you the trouble of skipping the explanation and myself the trouble of typing it. and most importantly..
8. your local drug dealer has to pay rent at the subsidized apartments you and your family will be living at if your parents have to spend money on a lawyer for you or lose their jobs. support your local drug dealer, and we can all get along, until you turn 18 and shoot him in the face and take over the territory with your peace loving shrooms.

I dunno where you're from but last time I checked a school administrator cant call the cops on you because some other kids were talking about how you grow mushrooms...
Growing something illegal in your parents house is pretty asinine, but if you TELL NO ONE, ABSOLUTELY NO ONE, you wont have anything to worry about. Be paranoid. You aren't risking your ass, but your parent's as well. They're responsible for you, after all.
That speaker sounds like a good idea, and so does trying to grow some seclerotia, its pretty stealthy. I'd probably do some cakes in my speaker deal and toss some colonized p. mexicana jars/bags/whatever in a closet and wait a few months. You should get a good crop if you know what youre doing. Good luck. Dont get caught.

i grow in my dads house, but then again i'm 19 and evey bit of space in my room is all mne.... he knows better

Wow, and then I think of all the illegal shit I did at my parents house and think....
whatever.
Later on I find out that they were snatching buds out of my stash for their own use.
Lucky that my parents weren't as "anti drug" as they made out to be. I guess but I didn't know it at the time.

Come on. It's literally impossible to not tell anyone. You'd think knowing someone in the hobby carried prestige the way people pass that information along.. everyone talks about it, and they all add "But don't tell anyone" or "But don't tell him I told you". In doing it you have to understand that the information is NOT PRIVATE. Know your friend's friends before you spill your guts, and hope your friends only tell the friends of theirs that have some sense. That's fact, and I don't care what anyone else's delusion is.

i agree with 'the seeker'
if you tell anyone, you might as well make a T-shirt explaining what you do and wear it around public. i know from personal exp that telling people is a bad bad idea. i could punch one of my friends in the nose because he disrespected my wish for privacy. it just doesn't work.
parents have a tendency to snoop. even if you don't think they will, they do, and it is their right to...you should find some 'of age' friends that won't mind you using some of their space, and you can hook em up with some harvest for it...thats the best way IMO.

I'm gonna test out if they're snooping, I don't know if they're smart enough to look in a speaker, so I'll first just throw a porn or a joint in there or something and see if it disappears.
this is a little drawing I did of my idea, I replace the original speaker cord with a 3-outlet extension cord then I plug in the actual speaker, light, and fish pump into this, that way the speaker will still work. Then all the wires are put out of the way. Then I take a little box and put it open end up against some of the holes in the speaker and put the pump inside then lead the tube out of a hole in the little box so there's always fresh air being pumped in. Unfortunately I know nothing about the innards of a speaker so I don't know how well my plan would work...
Some questions...
-Should I tape over the rest of the holes in the speaker? (I mean the foam thing that goes on the front...)
-Should I put a glass of water in the tank and then put the tube into the glass for humidity?
-Do I need any perlite below my mesh or will I be fine without?
Will this setup basically allow the mushrooms to grow on their own, I might not be able to check their progess daily...
