popcorn for stones

well i cant seem to find any rye berrys localy and dont want to order any so i am thinking of trying popcorn any thoughts i will be growing atl#7

I've got a jar of it started. No progress yet.
I had better luck with WBS than rye, you might try it. And BRF did better than grains for me.

yea i may still try the wbs i dont want to start another argument about it gettin in the stones lol the wbs i get is like %50 millet if i rember corectly it is the walmart brand i hate getting all the black sunflower seeds out and my kids think it makes the house stink when i pc it im gonna hit up the feed store in am maybe they will have something i can use for cheep i just really want to start my stones growing:awedrugs:

Take the sunflower out when you rinse, it's easy. If you use WBS, I mean.

i found they float so as i soak i agitate the seed and pick the seeds out then but it is still a pain why cant you use em?

You can use them. But you get a better texture without them.
OTOH, ATL 7 might really enjoy a bit of sunflower, you should do some jars with and some without.

But yeah, as you do the rinse, the sunflower floats up. Then just scoop it out into a cup and throw it to the squirrels.

Edit- I looked at my p'corn jar, and it seems it be colonizing ok. Too early to tell much.

I dunno. Popcorn has big kernels, the surfaces should colonize pretty quickly compared to something smaller.
But it's hard to say anything at this stage.
