The "midwest"

People are pretty fucking stupid.  Americans are pretty fucking stupid.  People on the east coast and the west coast know nothing about the midwest.  When ever i tell someone from cali that im from the mid west they think i live on a farm in the middle of no where and there is nothing to do.  St. Louis, Chicago, Detroit, Indianapolis, Cleveland, Cincinnati, Pittsburgh so on a so forth.  Yeah they are kinda big fuckin' cities.  People from the coasts are all high and mighty and think they are the shit from either being from Cali or NYC like its the mecca of the world.  Even people that live in towns on the coasts like jacksonville FL for example think they are city folk.  The midwest is actually home to a lot of city people.  Americans are so fucking ignorant when it comes to the midwest.  Just had to get this off my chest.

Jacksonville is Florida's most populated city.  No joke.

I'm from the east coast and currently reside in the midwest.  Can't wait to get out of here.

anyways dont get me started either. east coast people are THE WORST. ive never met someone from the east coast that ive enjoyed. o god and if they are a jew from philly or new york then that makes it 10x worse. just some selfish crazy ass people living over there.

You know, if you would actually name a city that you live in when you're talking to new people, ie Chicago, then people on the coasts wouldn't think you live on a farm. But if you go around saying "I live in the midwest", what do you expect? You gave them zero real idea of where you live, except for the stereotype: corn fields and fly-over states.


I lived in the midwest for most of my life, by the way.

Try telling someone from the east cost that you're from S.Dakota, and then sit there while they ask if it's close to Texas.  I've also been asked if we still have tepees up here or if we have indoor plumbing yet, and if being caught in a buffalo stampede was a normal occurrence.
I'm so glad I moved. Even if it was just one state over.

Nope! Won't move there. It's a nice place and all. But the winters seem to be ten times worse and job market isn't the greatest. Right above it though.
