Every time I smoke cannabis, I expierience "flashbacks"
    #11860172 -

Lemme first start off by saying that I am using the term "flashbacks" very very very loosely.

But as stated, every time i smoke, or even drink for that matter, I have visuals and sensations that I normally otherwise wouldnt have.

I should probably also note that for a 8-10 month period of time i consumed psilocybin mushrooms approx 30 times.

Now its not like im full on tripping. I notice that it is more prevalent in my peripheral vision, but does take effect in my normal vision.

There have even been a couple cases, like last night, where I would think i see something on a wall, and focus on it thinking that it really is there and it seem to materialize more, up to the point where it kinda scares me with its realism.

I even felt that there was a spider web between my ear neck and shoulder, and if i didnt touch that area I could swear that it was there.

Now this isnt so much of a bad thing, i kinda enjoy it sometimes.

I dont think its anything like HPPD, but i think its more than just the ganja.

What do you guys think?

I hate to be that guy, but it
sounds like your brain needs
a break. Quit the ganja for a bit,
that certainly helped me. Also
others I know who've been through this.

This is what is known in the drug community as being "high".  This is a common side effect of using THC.

...

Nah, I'm just messin with ya     Sounds like it could be kinda fun, but also a nuissance at the same time if you're in the wrong set and setting.

weed reminds me of LsD, everytime i smoke it, altho i usually buy the highest quality ganja, so that could have something to do with it... and i haven't lsd for around two years

having minor lsd effects on a daily basis, mixed with feeling kind of lazy from thc has gotten too much for me (and my super budda connect not coming thru recently) so i'm talking a break and after 2 days my thinking has cleared up and i could tap into a natural euphoria if i meditate my mind...      a break could do you good  :leaf:

this isn't to say i don't enjoy the enhanced marijuana experience ether

I've had good weed trigger a "flashback" type effect, short duration. I've also had good music take me to that "special place" (without drugs). Altered visual perceptions are pretty much a part of my daily life...3-D shadows, odd things seen out of the corner of my eyes (ghosts and other critters), "breathing" effect in wall paper, carpet, floor and ceiling tiles, etc.,amplified perception of images reflected off of windows, picture frame glass, shiny cars, whatever. Nothing too intense, but  always right around the corner. I can almost put myself there with good environment and deep thought:bliss:... I opened that door a long time ago, and it won't stay closed... . . .give:peace:(a chance)

yea i know that I should stop smoking, considering I do it everyday whenever i can, its just that i have a lot of free time, and get so bored that I wanna claw my eyes out with a fork.

I do notice it much more when smoking chronic, but mids does it sometimes too.

Plus i hate being depressed and smoking fixes this.

Im kinda between a rock and a hard place, and i dont like it.

My opinion is you got strong dope or laced dope
switch to a weaker kind and see if that still happens otherwise i agree with the poster directly under the O.P.

Weed is a mild hallucinogen.
Using stronger hallucinogens (shrooms/lsd) or smoking for long periods of time can bring out that side of marijuana.

Take a break or dont get so stoned if you dont enjoy it :gethigh:

edit- your pot isnt laced. Its called being high as fuck

It's just like the story of the grasshopper and the octopus.
All year long, the grasshopper kept burying acorns for winter, while the
octopus mooched off his girlfriend and watched TV.
But then the winter came, and the grasshopper died, and the octopus ate all his acorns.
Also he got a race car.
Is any of this getting through to you?

QFT

THC is a mild psychedelic, so are the rest of the Cannabinoids in Cannabis.

this, but

I don't really see a problem. Learn thangs from it. "Buy the ticket, take the ride."

the first time I did mushrooms I had a very strong and visual afterglow for about two weeks, being that that was my first trip and i was a noob of life, I thought maybe i had fried my brain or something. Then when smoking weed I realized that I myself, through will, could adjust my own perception. The foreign-ness of it might seem disturbing at first, but learning how to make use of it has not only helped me to experience :awetrippie: thangs that wouldn't be possible otherwise, but I also feel like my senses have been sharpened, to the point of knowing trouble when I see it, as a sort of instant subtly visual perception of bad auras/energies.

i think, you think, too hard

this is also possible, but not the entire story

manifesting your own thoughts as "hallucinations" is something kinda different, but there is still something to learn from it, if you make an effort to.
Personally I do recommend avoiding things like RCs with unknown dangers, and getting high on thangs you really shouldn't abuse that way, such as OTC products like dph, but as far as marijuana being more psychedelic than it used to be, that's life

but at the end of the day, when it really comes down to it, you can't rely on anybody else's perception to tell you what is. Flashbacks? A problem? or truer nature? that's up to you to decide. Just always remain open to the fact that even with "higher" or realer perception, there is always plenty of room for over-embellishment from your own head. Personally I trust the instincts I don't have to analyze with my thought processes, even if they are truly bizarre, and always question my own mental interpretations, because that's where things seem to get the most mixed up.

if you don't like it, then stop. Otherwise, accept it and make the most of it. :feelsgoodman:

and no my weed isnt laced. If anybody laced weed around here they would be shot no questions asked. People are touchy with there herb here.

Hell, I rely on cannabis for this effect. If I get good and high, I can go full-on CEV if I relax. These can range from the mind machine geometric framework I associate with psychedelics, to vivid landscapes or 3 dimensional environments. The time right before sleep is usually a little voyage for me.

I also tend to get a light energy/color overlay with eyes open as well, if I care to pay attention to it (which I do). I have always been a visual/spatial thinker so perhaps that has something to do with it also.
