Rothbury 2010

Well I just received the best news of my year so far!

I am only 18 years old but my parents are letting me go to rothbury with my 22 year old older brother. And from a few of my friends that went last year they said they were MAJORLY unprepared. So I know it wont be for six and a half months but im really trying to go for the best experience possible. I go camping a lot so i have an 8 person tent, mini portable grill, few sleeping bags. But what else do i need? Anyone got a really good list?

Also I heard rothbury is very chill and not commercially. I also just read online that 33,000 people attended it last year and there were only 88 arrests and most of those were for things that people did while intoxicated on ALCOHOL (A substance that i do not do, just done like it i feel like its poison) But is it easy to sneak marijuana and psychedelics into these type of things? Or is it easy to get some? I always worry about buying lucy at something like this and getting like pcp or something

There will be plenty of things going around to buy, just know what your looking for and what they look/taste/smell like.

As for a camping checklist, google "bonnaroo camping list" and about 10000 lists will be at the tips of your fingers.

Rothbury is fun btw, one of the better festivals i've been to.

bring your own shit so you won't have to waste time looking for bunk acid or whatever. you shouldn't have a problem short of a K9 roadblock.

even places like Bonnaroo can be dry if you don't know people and there's always some scumbag selling bunk.

Don't buy off shady looking people. I know its hard to define but everyone knows what a shady looking person looks like. Also, don't buy anything off the first person to walk up to you. Hundreds of people will make it buy your campsite thru out the first day/night.

This right here. Don't feel liek you have to buy shit when you first hear it. I made this mistake and lost $60 on some fake molly

My friend told me who went to rothbury last year they just do a quick search to see if theres glass bottles in car, he said there was drug dogs but they werent anywhere near the car entrence they were incase of emergency he said and when he got there he asked around and people said cops are just making sure theres no hard drugs like cocaine or soemthing but i find that to be false just thinking about it.

And about buying lucy, for me it has always come to an instant decision the second i see them, i feel you can tell all about a person by looking in their eyes.

I went to rothbury last year and had the time of my life! I still have my bracelet on  :bobmarley: . There will be hundreds of people whispering "doses, molly, rolls, deemsters, etc" in your ear as you walk past them, both inside the festival and out in the campground. There are very good drugs there. You can get just about anything. The people there are very friendly I hear compared to Bonnaroo and other music festivals. I did get sold some bunk molly for way too much money, but I wont make the same mistake again. Also don't waste your time with rolls if your into that thing, you can get a gram of molly for fairly cheap there. I plan on buying at least a sheet of 'cid this year. I couldn't tell you how much lsd was going around, The Dead were playing last year!

im not into molly and dont plan on doing it for some years ive been offered it but i always just dont feel like it at the time, im fine with just cid or shrooms haha.

I went to Rothbury in 2009, and it is truly spectacular.

It is best to bring your own stuff, but take caution.

Your vehicle will most likely be searched upon entry. As long as everything is very well hidden, that shouldn't be a problem. However, K9 units aren't as easy to get by. Although you probably won't be sniffed, it's a very possible situation. For all I know, security could be even tighter this year.

You should also buy a hammock for the Sherwood Forest. :mushroom2:

do you see under my name how it says SOUND TRIBE SECTOR 9 im a huge fan they are so good at making music.

Hopefully its easy to get into, i hope i have a good time, im really just worried about the k9 units dogs scare me i always think my car smells like weed in the first place cause where i live if you get pulled over and your car smells like weed they disregard it unless your under 18 and then they just call your parents and take your stuff.

There isn't specific campground sites. Just one for RVs, one for Cars and one for VIP. It's basically first come first serve. The earlier people get put right near the festival's main entrance. Last year I only went for 2 days, Saturday and Sunday and my friend and I lucked out. We got put in a Corner a near 1,000 feet away from an entrance to the festival. It's really pretty random where you'll get put.

they said in that video though golbez that they did some drug related investigations and made arrests, it just scares me a bit that they try to go out of their way to make arrests

It really wasn't bad at all Cloudkicker. The people gettin arrested were the huge drug suppliers that made no effort to keep their shit low key, as they would yell out BUDS etc and had stands throughout the campgrounds. At the gates they do frisk you a bit. The frisk consists of making you empty your pockets, lookin in your cig pack, taking your hat off, sometimes checkin your shoes around your ankles. It's still very easy to smuggle shit in. If they do find anything on a person I think they just confiscate it... unless a popo happens to be surveying the gate your at :O. 88 people out of 33k is nothing, though.
