A while back, there was post claiming that foods and vitamins containing carotene will inhibit psilocybin. The dude who made the post dosed with carrot juice, and never got effects. He waited, and then dosed with punch, and got blown away (same batch).
There were supposed to be some 'experiments' which would have trialed this theory, but i think the post died and nobody every made a conclusion.
Carotene is supposedly what makes certain fruits and vegetables orange (ie: mango, cantaloupe, carrots, etc....but not oranges)
I'd experiment but im not in the position to grow right now, so hell if i'm gonna be wasting any fungus. A grower, with the willingness to donate to PSYience would be a good candidate.
