I'm going there soon and I think i'd like to take some truffles and go to the Rijksmuseum there, soak up some amazing art.

Good/bad idea?

If anyone has expericence of doing this in Amsterdam great! But am also interested to hear if you think gallery + medium dose is a good (or terrible) idea.

I've never tried truffles before! Though have tripped a good few times with Lucy, I think I was wondering more about getting sketched out by all the people! :eek:

where do you plan on getting these truffles?

they are banned in holland now and trying to smuggle them across borders isnt a great idea

i you can get them though it sounds like a solid plan :thumbup:

mushrooms are not

thats class, i assumed truffles would be banned too, when they banned them here it was everything except spores

i wonder why they left truffles legal?

I've always liked Kokopelli not far from the Central Station.

I'm gonna be in Amsterdam at the end of the month, so I might see you there buddy.

The Dutch minister of health & sanitation decided to ban magic mushrooms after a French girl committed suicide by jumping off a viaduct in Amsterdam, allegedly after having done mushrooms. So this minister got one of his minions to make a list of all psychoactive mushrooms. This desk clerk apparently proceeded to fuck up this simple research task and apparently copied a decades-old list, published by a research group that didn't focus on the subject specifically and therefore had spent little time checking the correctness of said list. Psilocybe mexicana/tampanensis happened not to be on that list, while 'stropharia' cubensis and ps. semilanceata of course were. The list was entered into the Dutch 'opium' legislation (it's called that way, an artifact of the 1920s) and hence, mushrooms are now illegal in Holland, while truffles are not.

Excellent idea if you enjoy tripping in public. Personally, I don't, but the Rijksmuseum is nice (even though a large part of the permanent collection and of the building _still_ aren't accessible due to renovations).

Knowledge master.  I've never done it too publicly but think I could handle it, certainly a medium-ish dose anyway. Besides, I don't wanna get toooo mashed, I kinda wanna enjoy the city itself a bit whilst i'm there.
