totally ridiculous.  i think my favorite part of the whole thing is the following quote:

look, some of us like to hide pot with our penis, and would very much like that they not steal it, okay?

but in all seriousness, i've got a hearty 'fuck no' to their desire to implement these machines.  i don't trust that contraption to not irradiate me.  nor do i think it's a necessary precaution.  and more importantly is the principal of civil liberties.  it's a direct violation thereof.  make it optional.  if an airline wishes to institute it, let them.  if the airline doesn't wish to, have the customers sign a waiver or something.  but it should not be mandatory for air travel by any means.

I agree with this.  If airlines want them, it's their planes and you don't have to fly on them if you don't want to.  Pick a different airline.

Mandating them, on the other hand, seems like a bit much.

But then they couldn't sell us cancer medications after they will (probably) charge an additional fee for using their scanners.
