So I got my MG scale today! (advice requested)
    #10261664 -

It took a while to finally find a surface that was calm and level enough to calibrate it with the weight where it stayed on 10.000g even. Now, when I calibrated my scale my little tray weighs 2.467-2.468 consistently.

Now, when I calibrate it to 10g accurately with the weight, and when I remove the weight and it stays on 0.000, I can trust when I add the plate and tare, I can trust the weight relatively accurately correct? IE, if I calibrate at 10g, it stays there, I remove weight, it goes to 0.000.

I put my plate on, it weighs 2.467-2.468g constantly. I then tare to 0.000g. Does that mean, say, when my scale says 25mg, it's pretty damn close to 25mg (like within the 1mg range) or should I always expect a 5-10mg variance?

Either way, like I said once I found a level surface it calibrated perfectly every time and I've been playing with it for an hour or two. Each time I calibrate to 10g, my tray weighs 2.467 or 2.468. If I leave it sitting there long enough it will fluctuate between the two but that could be AC currents or anything, correct? Like I said, once I get it to this accuracy and it tells me 25mg, would you trust say 25mg?

I realize I am being horribly redundant but this is my first time working with a scale like this and I am quite excited frankly.

PS this is the scale I purchased:

I'd trust it, given the numbers you are stating.

It seems fine, mine fluctuates like that too, It could be anything, or in between the 2.

like

2.4675

and its just rounding up and down based on it being 2.4674-2.4675

If the weight matches up when calibrating, I would trust it

Let me tell a little fictional story, just to reassure me and hopefully someone can chime in with good advice/reassurance.

When I first got the scale, I didn't find a very level surface.  I wanted to weigh 40mg 2cb as a tester.  The calibration weight would even out at 9.998-9.999 (it never would stay around 10.000 even)  Either way, when I added the tray, it was still around 2.465-2.468 so that 3mg didn't mean a lot to me.  I weighed 40mg.

I just re-weighed the same amount of 2cb, after I recalibrated my scale on the level, stable surface I discovered.  It was 39mg on the money.

This tells me that, I can trust within pretty good reason (this scale does have good user reviews, etc) that I do indeed have between 38-42mg 2cb, roughly.

Would you guys say that is a reasonable estimate?

*BUMP

Was going to post new but found this post.

A friend also in a similar situation. He has some cheap .001 scales and is trying to confirm a measure of 500mg
for further liquid measurement to achieve 15mg +1/-1 and hopes to be as accurate as possible.

He has weighed his supplied weight and it reads 9.978g, so he assumes it is supposed to be reading 10.000g
but again these scales are cheap. Although they are reading wrong, it gives a constant 9.978-9.977 after 5 weighs.

The supposed 500mg product is reading .478g. Would it be safe to assume the 500mg?

understand that breathing on it and air circulation can affect the
accuracy of the scale and unless th weights are certified, they could
also be inaccurate
