I've moved to Portland!

Hey everyone, I've got some exciting news, my absence has been due to some major changes in my life, and those include Moving to Portland, Oregon.  I'm very excited about this change, everything for me is looking up.  I've managed to get a decent job for about $10.00 nightshift just walking around and I'm staying with shroomerites here.  DuneRaver is awesome! 
I went through a short period of homesickness, I'm sure it's probably not over yet, but I'm coping with it well.  The anxiety was bad at first but snagging a little herb helps to curve the feeling of anxiety and put me in a much more relaxed state.  This is the first time I've moved out of the city of Reno, Nevada, my hometown that I've lived in for 24 years.  What a change!  I'm looking forward to see some snow in Portland because I missed the huge amount of snow that fell in Reno (I left a day before it all fell), and I love snow.  I don't like the brown of the desert though, and this place is so green

I'm not sure what to do while here, this is the first time living in a city where there are things you can do, and it's quite interesting, I'm very excited.  If anyone's up for chilling, you know I'm down if I have some time off, though it'll probably take me a few more days to get my internal clock set to a graveyard shift, so I might be sleeping a lot.  I haven't gotten Any sleep lately though, today was a first, 6 hours, but still exhausted, hehe.

This city is quite beautiful, especially compared to Reno!  Yay!


Wish me luck everyone!  I've got the PC up so I'll be chattin' for a bit :laugh:

Great!  I grew up around Oregon City and had a friend and some family that lived in Portland, it's a cool place.  Also you can't beat the Oregon coast as far as I'm concerned.

It's a two-hour drive.  I've driven three hours to Seattle to meet up with Shroomerites.

Portland is awesome. Been there a few times myself and used to think of moving there.

Barley Mill pub is cool, so are the Rose Test Gardens.

Be sure to check out Powells City of Books (the one on the west side) - :awesome:est bookstore ever!  And if you ever need erotic donuts, Voodoo is the place to get them.

Greyhound is $36 for a round trip P-town - Eugene

Edit: also hitchhiking is easy on I-5 if you are into that. Rideshare is good too.

I am going to be moving myself in the Spring and i am a tad bit nervous but super excited!

Portland is super cool - definitely make use of the amazing cycling network!
