the unknown looks similar to t. peruvianus, but i have no idea how many other columnar cactus are similar. it could easily be the torch or some other closely related trichocereus or cereus.
anybody know for sure?

nice seedlings!!!
merry happy jingle shit.

Very nice seedlings DazedSol  . The Sceletium seedlings look just like the seedlings I am growing. I am glad I have some pictures of sceletium at this stage to compare with mine. Hopefully you will keep us all regularly updated.

As for the red seedling, it could be sunburn?? Not sure really.

And the cacti form kmart mmm? I have seen that cacti in UK shops also. I don't think it is a trichocereus. I am sure a cacti expert here will be able to identify it soon.

SE: yes the little red cactii does sort of look sunburnt....possible i guess(they are under hps lighting)...but this one has been that odd color since it sprouted so who knows.........

TOaD: the cacti were planted(about 25 seeds) on 10/20......on 10/29 four of them sprouted.....then by 11/9 the rest were up......11 out of 25 of them ........this was all at about 70-75 degrees F in a little 'greenhouse'

should i say, looks similar to  my friend's t. peruvianus, that i have seen in person.
i took a stroll thru a local huge corporate chain crap store today and saw many similar cacti.... don't know what to say.  the friend is sure his cactus is a torch, and i saw some that i wanted to buy today because i have heard that people have found san pedro and torches at garden centers and wally world and such......

any one know a good cactus id site?

It's not Cereus peruvianus. I can't say what it is, but they are sold in alot of places cacti shouldn't be sold in and are worth very little.

Hey, I bought one of those when I was at the staes in august, and there was the name on it, I can't remeber it, it was like a long complicated name starting by pe*something long and complicated*cactus and a second little name that I forgot... I know this is very very vague, but I beleived it is not a trichocereus of any kind...

It doesn't look like my peruvianuses, the spikes on the cactus in the picture are thinner, longer, more pale and seems to be growing denser than on the ones I have. I don't know how much the growing conditions will alter these plants, and I have only my own to compare with since I grew them from seeds (They look more like my SanPedros, but not quite so either)... They say that T. Pachanoi's are common, but I have never been lucky enough to find them...except maybe once in IKEA, but the queues were insane so I left them with my candles and some pictureframes...
