Strassman helped shaped my thesis topic. In my interactions with him, he really is interested in utilizing the scientific method to the extent of its limitations. Throughout his infamous book he was careful to note that much of it was mere speculation and cannot be verified. What else do you expect with someone who was continuously exposed to witnessing people have their reality shattered in his office on a Friday morning? I mean really.

He seems like an alright guy who does psychedelics. So what if he isn't an expert or anything, I think it's cool that he is cool with what I think is cool :shrug:

That was really cool.  Thanks a lot.  Hey, was that Bill Hicks' behind the camera of the first video?  He sounded just like Bill and he said that he and Bill used to do flotation tanks.

i think it's easy to hate on him. and pretty easy to love him too depending on how generous you are feeling.

he's not scientificaly accurate in the sense that he is just spewing things he has heard. he's no scientist.

to me, he's an okay comedian. nothing amazing, but anyone who is vehemently against carlos mencia has got to be at least a little bit okay. some of his bits have made me lol as well.

he just seems funny because he is a psychedelic loving meat head. i mean the combination is rather unique if anything. meat heads in general suck, but every now and then you can at least be on good terms with one just because they're not like the rest of them. my weed dealer is an example. he's a total meat head but he's a good guy at heart. i see joe rogan in the same light.

i will agree that he is a bit forceful in his promotion of psychedelics. a bit idealistic and he starts to sound like a broken record. but at least he appreciates them and has a genuine interest in them. he also did a bit on describing a dmt trip in a really funny way, that's pretty unique.

i agree he shouldn't be spewing things as fact when they aren't scientifically proven. that pisses me off. i think more people should be hating on dane cook and shit, that guys a total douche. joe rogan can seem like a douch but you guys shouldn't waste your energy being so hateful to joe rogan. it kinda shows that you've got somethin up your butt. just a little.

I hate Dane Cook for different reasons.  Because he is an unfunny Comedian.  I hate Joe Rogan because he does a great disservice to the psychedelic community by spewing misinformation. :shrug:

If people want to support misinformation that is their constitutional right.

you have a point. he might think of himself as a self apointed spokesman of the psychedelic community and i suppose that is a bit arrogant. i just seem to think he is a lesser of two evils if you consider that the war on drugs puts people in prison for such harmless activites as growing plants for example. with respect to that i think you are allowed to be a little outrageous. it's not like the whole movement hinges on him and only him for fucks sake. he's a comedian. any comedian can only be taken so seriously. i guess the problem is he might take himself more seriously than he should, but being arrogant is human nature. if that turns you off then i understand. to me, i won't inherently hate someone's guts for that. i dislike people who are brutal and cruel. he is not that.

I like the fact that Joe Rogan is a meathead who also likes psychedelics.  Perhaps he can bridge the gap between the two and help to lure meatheads into enlightenment.  :shrug:

Plus I think he's really funny and I like the fact that he doesn't like Mencia.  I think Mencia was sent here to systematically lower our standards.  Not really, but I do not approve of him.  Joe Rogan I approve of.

I think Joe Regan ain't into all this shit to get laid. I mean, he's a wrestler, how can you pretend much from him? he maybe ain't that smart but he's truly interested in psychedelics. You dont buy an isolation tank to get laid, do you?
