It's not that hard to understand, I just don't think driving is complicated or needs to be changed.  Nothing will compensate for a driver's awareness.

I honestly find this aspect about cars DISGUSTING, they are no longer a tool to get to point A to point B, but almost mini houses, causing a slowly but surely descent into mass homelessness. Americans are slowly becoming their cars, slaves to gas, slaves to money, slaves to industry, slaves to mechanical fashion. Cars have us whipped(lashed).



As long as people are proud of anything, they should also have the right to be proud of their cars.

This does things that depth perception alone cannot.

Lets say you're riding behind another car, and you can't see whats in front of it because its an SUV. Well, ahead of that car a pinto looses a tire and starts to skid. You see the car ahead's accelerator light turn off, and you take your foot off yours and put in on the brake. Then the car ahead slams on its brakes half a second later, but you're ready because your foot was already there. Its not fool proof, but do you see what I mean?

I don't want other people hitting my car, do you?  This might stop one or two, but its a light so the cost/benefit is extremely high, rear end accidents do kill people sometimes.

Only if you observe the law.

Seriously, I just want a little help letting people know about this so no one can take it all for themselves.  All thats necessary to do that is to make sure people know about it en masse.  A little at a time helps.

Yeah, this would only help make the amount of time you had be more well used.  Sometimes there will be a short amount of warning time from the green light going off, sometimes longer, but there will always be some amount of time unless they're driving two footed.  Half seconds can be the difference between paying nothing to fix your car, and paying hundreds.

QFT. Whenever I see a car up my ass I'm tempted to slam on the brakes, and let the asshole drive right into me.

I always keep like 20 feet away from the car ahead of me and I've never even came close to an accident while driving.
