unlocked iphone

if i buy an unlocked iphone from ebay can it be turned on by verizon like any other phone? can i get in trouble for this? anything else i should know?

Yes, no. You can buy an iphone yourself and unlock it, it isn't too difficult.

Nope.    In just considering the "big 4", you could NOT have the iphone on verizon or sprint.

It would be AT&T or t-mobile.

You need to be on a GSM network to be able to use an iPhone.  I don't know if Verison is GSM or CDMA, but that is the only condition as to whether or not you can do it.

it would work with tmobile but not verizon
its really not worth it though, 3GS wont be available to you, meaning applications and many other features wont be available
if you want an iphone get AT&T
