Bolete ID request (Vancouver Island , West Coast of Canada)

Habitat:
I found these particular fungi in an open area near some spruce/fir trees.

Gills:
Very yellow pores on the mature specimen and the two midsized ones ...the smallest one was beige/paler yellow pored but also starting to rot.

Stem:
6-8", > 1", beige to yellowish, texture, solid,

Cap:
midsized two were about 4" in diameter, smooth and velvety (not slimy)tan/beige/light brown, sperical/convex

mature one was slightly darker than the other two and about 8" in diameter, sperical(ish) and concave(ish) ... also velvety and smooth (aside from the bug holes).


Spore print color:
(Waiting on it right now and will update in the morning)

Bruising:
The midsized two don't seem to bruise at all, the larger one has delayed blue bruising

looks like you have 2-3 species there. i forget what the big ones called but its not recomended for eating. i love how they bruise blue like that though. the one you have cut in half maybe boleteus edilus?

hmmm...is it normal for more than one variety to grow clumped together? Here I was thinking that if they were all clumped they must be the same. Their coloring/texture was very very similar.

No macro shots of the stems available as I sliced up the medium sized ones to dry ... fairly cettain they're edible as there's no bluing.  Tossed the larger one out into the yard (as it was FULL of worms ...perhaps the spores will fall somewhere they can grow) and the smaller one was rotting so it made it into the compost with the other bits.

Looks like it wants to stain green/blue.

Rubellus or smithii, if so.
