grow room question!! help!

:mushroom2:please give me some feedback thats helpfull..I am thinking of building a grow room in my attic in my garage...and the bad part is its gonna be through the winter..winters are usually anywhere from 60F at the highest maybe when the sun is out but sometimes it gets 20-35F during the day..and as cold as 0 sometimes or a bit below at night...I have a 2 ft by 8 ft section for a grow room. I have lots of 2"x4"'s and plywood and pleanty of foam and insulation to build a grow room and insulate it..although it gets cold outside my garage tends to be a bit warmer just because its a building. The garage is not insulated. and I would like to know if it will work with the correct temperatures needed from growing and fruiting..what do I need to buy?..a space heater with a vent over it catching the rising hot air and squirrel cage fan it into the grow room to make sure warm temperatures are achieved? what will be needed for this to be possible!  please:mushroom2:

to cold i use a garage and it gets to 50 and they grow but take 3 times as long 0 sounds a little much for them. why not ues your house?

well the girlfriend doesnt live with me but comes over n stays n stuff and shed kick my ass ..butthe garage is all i have to work with...I shoul dbe able to find a way to heat the attic

heating the attic would be hard since there is vents in the roof. and watch the selling stuff that is not taken kindly around here

If you can build a small grow room like you say and insulate it, all you would need is a small space heater, set it to a certain temp it will turn off at. I think it would work fine. Those small heaters do show up on the power bill tho lol.

But ya, i'm sure if you can find an efficient way to heat it, i don't see any problems..

yeah cdnshroom  I think you know exactly what im talking about..I have aeverything such as timers powerstrips..I do do alot of woodworking and demo car work in my garage using lights and power tools..light constatly on for hours on end so I dont think it would show up on any bill

ever heard of a TiT? it stands for tub in tub, its an incubator. one container containing water with a aquarium heater, then another that fits inside it. the top one contains what your incubating. they keep heat pretty well.

you could find what it would take to make one that fit in your attic. or look around for another spot. simply putting some stuff on top of it would make it pretty safe and secure from the gf.

or theres always sclerotia!, then you wont need anything but the incubator.


as said before speaking of selling drugs = a big big no no.

well stop mentioning it i edited it..my fault..but no one ever uses my attic except me..its basically my shop with an attic and then I have a garge that we use for cars with a crawl space..

the attic I have is approx 20 ft long and 16ft wide with a 6 ft ceiling..but im only using the back corner of it

dont get any kit, just read on here, u can get everything needed at walmart pretty much. Just order some spores, start researching monotub. :grin:

Just look through the links in my sig and look for the monotubs section. Just prepare yourself for at least a couple of weeks worth of reading before you start. Personally I didn't feel prepared until I did.
