How to capture flash vids and convert to MPG/AVI/WMV?

Since I'm fairly computer savvy, the exgirlfriend who is on her way to becoming famous asked me to help her out with some video shit she needs for interviews and resumes and such.

I've tried just about every .flv capture Firefox add-on with no luck. I'm not talking youtube, I'm trying to capture .flv from news sites and convert to a permanent video file (mpg, avi, wmv, etc).

Anyone have any ideas?

You might want to try a program called Ultra Video Converter

Yeah but how do I capture the actual video on the page? I've looked at the page source and downloaded the .flv and it's of some other random bullshit.

I'm trying to do something similar.

I've been able to capture FLV's from any site with the fire-fox addon: http://www.downloadhelper.net/

maybe your problem is that the video isn't in FLV format? What's the link to the video specifically you are trying to capture?
