Ubuntu 8.04 and Shroomery Flash?

I already have the flash player but embedded flash vids that people put in their posts just remain blank. Anyone know how to fix this?

Do they work when you click on them? Thats how it is for me. If not, update your flash plugin.

no they just go grey.  I installed the flash plugin only about a week ago so theres no update.
