Now that I'm older, I both enjoy and empathize with my parents.  I can see where a lot of my own traits come from, and it's nice to be able to have a connection on that deep of a level with someone.

Love 'em. Had a real hard time until I just moved out and came completely level.

I'm living out my aspirations now, instead of theirs, and they're appreciating me for being a productive and non-failing young adult.

I hate them, they suck balls at everything I like not for them to suck balls at...they are stupid, stupid and ignorant fucks, that i conflict with most of the time...sometimes its blipingly fun with my mom my dad is a ridiculuusly sad and horribly fucked up individuals...they both came from broken homes however....both their dads were drunkered gambling womanizers....i remember one time my grandma told me gramps through a brick at him...when he died i was like hahaha, wtf am i to think about this lulz. And as you can see some of their bullshit has defiantly rubbed off on me....FUCK:sad:

Love my parents.

When I think of their downfalls I consider my own, and realize they're pretty great people.

Pops is kind of a negative Ned.
Moms is kind of a worrisome Wilma.

But I love 'em.

eh i love them, but they aren't my favorite people. very stubborn and never willing to accept anything different.  Finally they are starting to lay off me a little bit after they went through everything with my brother and his struggling heroin addiction, i think they finally saw the impact it was having on me and decided to loosen up a bit. I like them love them but can't really "hang" with them.

always think about how much respect you owe them!
they gave life to you & cared for you, spent money, cooked, cleaned you shitty pants,... (endless list)

might not suite everybody, but for some they pay your first apartement when you go to a university...

i feel stupid when i treat them bad sometimes... they just did so much for me. :shrug:

If they are good parents and have earned your respect, then yes, respect is due. BUT it was their choice to bring you into this world, not yours, therefore in some ways they owe you more than you owe them.
