I think i've found two fly agaric growing across the road from my house..?

There only young and i spotted them a couple of days ago from the little balls of the universal veil..
They are growing in the middle of the street, next to a tree that is planted on a corner across from my house! If they are fly agaric its only a matter of time b4 someone spots them and picks them i was just wondering if someone can confirm them... and wht is the best age to pick them??

Nice man, they sure look like them.  Wait for them to spread out and get big.  I passed a really nice patch of Amanitas on my way home from school today, didn't pick em tho.

OMG i was hoping you wasn't gonna say that! They are growing right in the middle of the street! Surely someone's gonna spot them and pick them before they are mature!! I just hope people round here let them grow!

I would think it should happen pretty quickly.  General rule of thumb around here, wait for a trusted Identifier to identify your mushroom before you consume it.  Take pics once you pick them and repost them here.

that would destroy its connection to the under ground mycelium network, that would not work.  They are not plants, they dont have roots.  Fungus is actually a network of white stringy material that exists within a substrate, like the ground, or wood, and mushrooms are the fruiting body of this organism.  That would be like picking an apple off of a tree and expecting the apple to keep growing if you set it on a branch of a different tree.

Probably because they started their own mycelium network using spores or a peice of mycelium.  I highly doubt anybody is able to relocate a mushroom and have it continue to grow.  They probably grew them from scratch.

i hope and pray they are fly agarics, i've always wanted to find one and now i may have struck gold litteraly 20 yards from my front door! I just hope they get to grow enough before someone else spots them and pick them!
They arn't exactly disguised, growing in the middle of the street, in the middle of an city estate...... lol
I'll take some more pictures tomorrow and post them in this thread!

If they are growing in front of your house chances are they are common in your area.  Go take a long walk through the woods or a park.  You find a ton of them if you look long enough.

there isn't a ton of land near my house! There is just trees planted along my street with little square's cut out of the concrete for the tree's to grow! All about 3 foot square!

Well gl on that mushroom.  Can't you and some buddies go for a little drive to a park?  I'm sure there would be one not too far away.  You should probably find more, if that one survies, if being the key word, it may not even be big enough for good effects.
