its mushroom season in Ireland they'll be gone as soon as mushroom season is over. is it wrong i live in ireland and am too lazy to go hunting

Found 20/30 small ones in the front lawn of a house I was walking past (eagle eyes!) a few weeks ago but nothing from my two spots.

The mushroom gods are laughing at us. They will cry rain soon. Hopefully...

Found another 50 in around 20 minutes at my spot today. Could use another bit of rain though - they were already starting to dry out.

I have found a good few now.

Its been a bit dry around here but both my patches seemed to produce a lot.

Anyone who cant find some in Kildare is either too lazy or not looking hard enough.

hey friends im visiting ireland, from sunny australia
ive never been more excited about the chilly weather than when i realised it meant hunting season in full swing,

lets organize a harvest season party,
i know some psychedelic djs and can organise some visuals
anybody keen

i found 15 small libs on tuesday but im gona a give them a few more days maybe go out on saturday for a nosey

I found around 2grams dried today at the only decent fungi field near my home.
I`m hoping when we get our normal damp/cold october weather things will pick up a bit.  This indian summer is doing us mushroom people no favours. :laugh:

Sounds like a great idea.  There is a psy halloween party on in a castle in clare.  Should be great fun.  What part of the country are you staying?

Whats up shroomery..!
Out for a walk today.. and i found a few types of different mushrooms..!

Some are libs far as i can tell.. others i know are not and there are some i am unsure of....
All found in the same habitat.. grazed fields

Awaiting spore prints..

Also sorry about the low quality pics...
hope someone can give a hand even with the wack pics etc..





This batch is the ones ive set aside as 'not libs' unless someone else can spot one

I hope to add more and higher quality pics soon as possible..!


A few features to the types of fungi in the finds...

mushroom 1: grey larger caps with greyish gills.. slight nipple in a browny color..  and long stalk...

mushroom 2: look like libs.. dark brown on nipple.. fade to a light brown futher down the cap.. and finaly a greyish rim.. stalk same color as cap...

Im located in ireland to if its any help...!

You have 2 or maybe 3 libs in the top 3 photos. The rest look like Psathyrella, but wait for a TI to confirm.

new to this forum.. going out with a mate at 7 in the morning on the hunt, got rained off from work today due to the heavy downfall, so i think tomorrow will be perfect. going out with black bags and not coming home empty handed!! can anyone describe the perfect fields/terrain? or any advice? any easy way of distinguishing types?

Just back from a hunt this morning in the Kildare area. 210 libs in approx 2 Hours. They are everywhere, and I mean everywhere. I had to force myself to stop looking at the ground for fear of missing my bus home :laugh:
