I was seriously starting to think I had a growing problem. I slam back tall glasses of water during every waking hour though.

I have to drink alot and pee alot just to stay hydrated. Sometimes I worry if this is due to a thyroid problem.

Theres no fucking way peeing 20+ times is normal in the least. I drink a ton of water and my piss is always clear and I only have 2-3 LONG pisses during the day.

I probably exaggerated when i was estimating i pee 15x a day. I think 12-13 is a fairer number.

Im with you.  I always have a huge pee in the morning.  Then usually a mid morning/afternoon pee, and then an evening pee, and then a before bed pee.  Maaaaybe one in the middle, 2 at the most.  This of course excludes drinking ETOH.  So I would say, if I were to average it, I pee 5 times a day.

Everybody needs to drink a different amt of water, but it is in fact the most essential molecule on the planet to our survival....right behind psilocybin of course.  Each person has a different body weight with different muscle mass, and under a different amt of physical activity.  On average, between 1.5L and 2.5L can be sufficient to most humans.  Too much water can be hard on your kidneys, can cause you to spill over a lot of good molecules into your urine, and just makes your kidneys work too hard.  In fact, you can absorb too much water, so that your salt ratio is too low, causing hyponatemia, which in extreme circumstances can be fatal and is referred to as "water toxicity".  But thats extreme.  Honestly, drink a lot of water, just dont be ridiculous about it.  And when your drinkin water, its important to take in electrolytes as well, or else the water wont be doing as much good as it should, and may be doing a bit of harm.

Honestly, if your peeing just a small amount, why go pee.  You CAN train your bladder.  Your bladder is EXTREMELY elastic..and without use, it will shrink.  Imagine, the more you fill a balloon full of air/water, over time it will fill up easier, the tissue relaxes, and it easily holds more.  When you fill it up for the first time there is a high amount of pressure from the lack of stretching in that tissue, so your nerves are sending impulses cause it doesnt like to be stretched.

This is how to train your bladder.

You have the need to pee.  Hold it.  Be conscious of you holding it.  The first time, hold it for a minute longer than your comfortable with.  The second time hold it 2 minutes.  Etc.  Sometimes, Ill have to pee real bad and Ill hold it for over an hour.  I do this, cause Im working my ass off and Im much too busy to stop progress to go take a piss.  After a while though, it just becomes uncomfortable so I go release. 

Imagine a dog.  If a dog pissed every time it needed to, it would piss like every half hour, on the floor.  But if you put that lil bastard in a lil crate for hours, it quits pissing a lot, cause it doesnt wanna pee on itself.  Pretty soon, its bladder is trained and it can freely walk the house without peeing on all your shit. 

I dunno, theres nothing scientifically wrong with frequent urination, but honestly, why would you wanna have to go to the bathroom that often?  On airplanes, in meetings, on roadtrips, in concerts, on dates, at work, damn, that would just be rough. 

Stinky pee can be many things, sometimes its due to high amounts of solutes in the urine ie dehydration...which is extremely common in the morning as your urine has a higher concentration of stinky nitrates and phosphates.  ETOH can add to that as well.  Different medications can cause strong pungent oddors such as penicillin, and different foods such as asparagus, garlic, and different fish can cause nasty smelling uring.  Low carb high protien diets can cause your body to excrete extra amounts of ketones, as can bein annorexic cause the body digests its own protein, and you will smell these ketones in the urine, and in breath....

other reasons people may have to pee a lot....... the acidity of their urine....which is why people drink lots of water and cranberry juice,.....their prostate is enlargening(BPH)....or maybe they have a condition called urethritis where their pee passage is infected, or maybe they have cystitis, or a kidney infection, uti, narrowing of the urethra due to chronic inflammation sometimes requires surgical dialation.

Anyways...Im blabbing.

Check it out.  You dont want a bladder the size of a girl....start holding that shit and next thing you know, you'll have a nice big bladder thats able to hold lots of pee.  Then next time you pull up to a stall at a Seahawks game, your not the guy that pulls his dick out, takes a 3 second tinkle, and puts it away.  Your the guy thats leaning against the wall taking a nice 1 minute long man sized piss!

So, today I walk up to this urinal, and it stunk like a rotten fuckin bladder.  I flushed the toilet so I wouldnt piss into piss and potentially splatter it on myself or breath in the stirred up piss fumes. 

Stinky pissed flushed down, and I started thinkin about this thread and it was crackin me up.  I had this grin on my face, and this coworker next to me is like "wtf are you laughin about" and I couldnt possibly try to explain why I was smilin, cause of this funny ass thread about pissing on the SHROOMERY!  So Im laughin, and hes buggin me, and Im pissin, and thinkin about this thread....and I felt a fart comin on...so I go to push it out, and realize shit is gonna come out...a "near" shart!  So while Im laughin, and this dude is lookin at me all crazy, I almost shit my pants.  I stop midpiss, put my dick in my pants, and scurry into the shitter without even zippin em up. 

OMG I was LAUGHIN sooo hard I could hardly wait to tell you fuckers what happened!

LOL, 12 to 20 is NOT normal.  Thats called "polyuria"...depending on the volume excreted. 

The average person urinates around every 3-4 hours, or about 7 times per day.  There are many research articles on this, and this is the average. 

You people need to hold your piss.  My gf doesnt pee 12 times in a day, and shes a healthy, 23yo, college athlete, and all she does is pound water and eat healthy alll day long. 

So heres my question to the peeps that pee a lot, do you have to get up in the middle of the night to pee?  Or can you hold it all night long?

While in Iraq we would have contests to see how long we ccould go without pissing. i currently hold teh record at eight days. This was possible because its 120 degrees all day, and even if you pound water as we do, your body sweats so much that teh excess liquids never make it to your bladder. Also this makes your sweat stink real bad and grow crystals from all the salts calcium and other minerals that never make it through the proper channels. Very disgusting, but incredibly cool.

I piss around 5-10 times a day. Would be 4-5 if I was indoors the whole time, but I go outside for cigarettes and at night I always have a strong urge to piss in a bush, so that bumps it up quite a bit.
