Wow, after browsing that in brief, Simon is quite a whiny ass.  If it is such a problem why don't they ADAPT and allow donations or something like other bands have for downloading the album.  Twisted is a borderline worshiped record label and I'm sure people would pay to keep it around.

As some in that thread said (PT I think), I've started to try and avoid learning too much about, or interacting with, my favorite musicians. Most of the time it leads to disappointment. There are exceptions, but it is hard for someone to live up to the expectations you give them without actually knowing them.

That said I've never been much of a Shpongle fan and I download almost all of my music so I got joy reading Simon be a little bitch.  They're fucking stupid. If you're broke don't spend 35k Euros on lights for a party the yielded little to no profits. Sounds like Twisted isn't the best label around and Shpongle aren't the smartest guys around.

This is true.  I also don't promote their touring around the States.  As greedy as this may be, Shpongle has always been TRULY original.  As with anything that hits the American circuit, it will soon be destroyed.

they do.

I can understand his frustration. he spent 3 years on the album and he's barely made enough money from it to keep himself alive.
If I read correctly, I believe he said Twisted has raked in less than $1000 worth of sales from the album so far.

and,
you really can't judge a person by a post he's made on an internet forum while in a state of frustration from circumstances such as this.

Less than $1000 in the bank.  He's sold over 700 preorders by now.

I still bought it though.

But $35,000 on lights?  He deserves financial problems if that's his model of business.
