A liquid lunch
    #11317643 - 10/25/09 12:50 PM (8 years, 1 month ago)

I've been drinking the following smoothie for the past couple of weeks to start my day. To say it tastes great really is an understatement.

  • 2tsp peanut butter
  • 345g frozen strawberries
  • 230g full-fat vanilla yogurt
  • 130ml semi-skimmed milk
  • 2 ice cubes
  • 1 medium banana

Anyone else a fan of smoothies and could share some recipes? :drooling:

The peanutbutter deals with the protein.

I just throw in a shitload of strawberries and banannas and mix it with orange juice.

By god it's the best motherfucking tasting thing I've ever had.

Cheap too.

I usually follow a recipe similar to that, but I will add protein powder for some more protein, 8 grams from just the PB isnt a whole lot.  I also throw some old-fashioned oats in there for some good carbs.  It's delicious.

I love smothies, and usually make one for lunch if i have yogurt.

plain yogurt, frozen ripe bannas, frozen berries, and pulpy orange juice tossed in a blender.

Protein from peanut butter is not a very good source. I like to get 30-40 grams of whey/casein blend.

And if you mean 2 tsp thats not even 7g, 2 tbsp is about 7g.
