Identifying truffles

Hello everyone!

My friend wants to order some truffles that contain psilocybin from the internet. I think they were called Psilocybe Atlantis, I'm not sure. But before he invests any money on those, he wants to be sure he can identify them as the real deal. He doesn't know much about the (online) store that sells them, but it's located in Amsterdam and I could give you the URL, but I'm not sure if it's OK with the rules of Shroomery. He doesn't want to get scammed and end up eating possibly poisonous mushrooms (or just ordinary truffles, yum!).

So is there a way to recognize truffles? I suppose you can't take a spore print? And to my and my friend's eyes all truffles seem alike.

I meant that is there a way to spot the difference between, for example, Psilocybe atlantis and Tuber magnatum species? They are both truffles. And after they've been picked they look like this: http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3433/3387467359_a3fb02f578.jpg

That's "Philosopher's stone". Some sort of psychedelic truffle. Don't know the latin name.

You can only hope that you get Tuber magnatum instead of Psilocybe atlantis sclerotia. The former are worth about 3000 bucks a kilo. What sort of silly question is this? It's like being afraid that someone will scam you by giving you gold when you want to purchase brass. Philosopher's stones are so easy to grow. They are in no way rare, so it makes no sense to scam someone over them.

I'm sorry if I confused you, but the Tuber magnatum comparison was just an example. I don't know anything about the species. What I meant was that can I protect myself from a scam by identifying the mushrooms when I get them? What if they send me truffles that aren't valuable at all.
