For those wondering what Liberty Cap habitat might look like...
    #11288644 -

I like to call this spot 'Liberty City'.  Didn't have any finds there today, but I didn't walk the whole thing either...  It's not uncommon for me to leave with a couple bags full from this spot.

Hey, there is no livestock there. I gotta go check some of my suspect spots again. Here I was thinking measly hauls are all I can expect without hunting in grazed pastures. Well, thanks for the inspiration:tongue2:

I found like 4 libs yesterday here in Clark county, about to head out again and do some searching.

liberty caps have no need for any prescence of livestock.

its easier to find them in grazed fields because the grass is obviously shorter but thats about it.

Huh...  Ya, they are still everywhere in WA.  You can find 'em by the bag full pretty easy if you're looking in the right places.

Sorry, I don't have any from the last couple hunts (been mostly in the woods after cyans).
Let me see if I can come up with some older ones.

As for that field...  It used to be farmland prior to all the houses being being built.  The way it looks now, I can see why you'd be skeptical.

I can't remember for sure, but I'm pretty certian that these guys came from that field...  Next time I'm out there, I'll jump the fence and get some habitat shots for you.

ah, i see, also i may have misinterpreted littleman's comment about their not being a 'presence' of livestock, i understand that there does not need to be a actively grazing, defecating body of livestock, but i have never heard of them growing where there have never been animals previously. looks like your spot is pretty convenient although i'd be a bit sketched about curious neighbors, of course the PNW is more laid back about these things in some ways. good luck

ya.  It's a good spot.  Those pictures were actually taken from my little brother's back yard.

I've never had anyone say anything about me roaming around back there, thank god.  I guess if they did, I would just jump back to my brother's house and tell them to get lost.  Hah!

It's good to see a fellow hutner in M-ville. I've looked all over this town and still haven't found anything. I usually go up to Arlington to do my pickin.
