If you knew someone was going to die.........
    #11270127 -

Long story short, the guy I get my bud from told me he is very worried about a guy he used to sell to making threats against him.  He's also horribly addicted to hundreds of dollars worth of pills/day.

This is where it gets a little fucked.  After he leaves one of my friends says to the others, "we should take out a life insurance plan on that kid, he doesn't seem like hes going to be around much longer."

He wants to split the bill till he croaks and then we'll all split the payout.

Would you take part in this death gamble?

Do you know who the cops suspect most when an accidental death happens?  The beneficiary of their life insurance.  It looks much worse if the insurance was only taken out recently, for a large amount, too.

So yea, if you wanna risk being put on trial for murder, go ahead.  The jury will see MOTIVE written all over your face.

Like I said earlier, its completley legal to do.  Companies such as walmart, walt disney, and win dixie do this with millions of employees that they think won't last long every year.

Does your boss want you dead?

why not try getting the guy help instead of taking advantage of his death to make money.

you honestly sound like an awful person to even be entertaining this idea.

All those corporations have hundreds of attorneys, you don't.

Even if you dont kill the guy, in some states, if you know hes in mortal danger, and you dont act, you can be held accountable.

The payout would be awesome, the risk is really huge tho.

So the plan is to convince him to take out a full life insurance policy and then make his friends the beneficiaries? He would certainly have to be pretty stupid to make himself worth more dead than alive.

You should make a contractually binding bet about HOW he dies, now that would be much less paperwork and could be much more creative in getting the job done.

EDIT: That should also be how you decide who should speak at the funeral. Winner gets to speak of how well they knew him.

Ethically its messed up, but I think you know that.

Its not impossible that when you alter the consequences of a person's death, that with it you alter the moment they will die.

This is very unusual thinking dealing with the nature of the universe itself but its one of the considerations that keep me from becoming an organ donor.

On another note: a drug dealer junkie gets shot in the head and a few guys just happened to have recently opened a life insurance on him.
How's that gonna look?

And can you even get a life insurance on some random other person to begin with? Whats thew world coming to?

Nope, take it out in secret.  He's worked for the guy who suggested the idea's construction company.  He has health insurance through his company right now and would not cost that much more to get life insurance as well, with his company as the benificiary.

I would consider it blood money and would probably give the money either to his parents/next of kin or if not applicable, to charity (minus expenses).

I wouldnt do it, its wrong morally and it probably won't work either given his death might likely be explained away as a homicide or suicide, thus no payout.

You're literally putting your money on a man's death. That ain't right.

You think he is about to die so instead of trying to do something to prevent it you are trying to benefit from it, it sounds like you would actually want him to die.  Either listen to us, or go ahead and do it and live with your decision for the rest of your life.

That's still fucked up for an employer to do, you obviously have no respect for the man and his life.

Hell; if you can do it why not eh?  It'd be different if he was commiting suicide; even then tho people who want to kill themselfs, other then the fact it hurts those around them; let em.  Make sure they do it right so its not a "give me attention" bs thing

But it sounds like he pissed off a guy he sold too; and has a huge pill addiction.  Sounds like he has it comming rather then is planning something.  How do you help someone in that situation?  Turn em into the police... jail time instead of murder?  Well; then his life is runied when he gets out; and has nowhere to go.  Go kill the guy after him?  Doesnt sound like this guy is worth putting your life in danger or risk of any sort... let what happens happen... if you get a few thousand out of it... cool.  Just dont let them see this thread...

The way to help anybody is by being a friend, caring for them.  I promise that if you go out of your way to help him instead of profiting from his death, the reward will be much greater than any cash sum you will recieve.

You can take out insurance on other people dieing?

I mean I can gamble on who wins the x-factor but this is a bit fucking different.

I'm pretty sure in my country the individual takes out life insurance their self and states in the contract who the beneficiaries are.
