Found at a thrift store for 6 Bucks....do i need a pressure guage? ive seen some with and without..?

By 'pressure gauge' do you mean a weight or gauge on top to keep the pressure in the cooker? If so, then yes, you need one.

yeah there is a nipple on top, and i thought thats where it should be, but it was the only one there, so i got it anyway...any ideas where i can get one that will fit on>?

Tire gauge might work...possibly a digital tire gauge hooked up to a rubber hose fitted over the end and hose clamped?

i like the tubing and clamp idea, but if i can get the tubing to fit over a tire gauge i can get one for like 2 bucks at auto zone...thanks for inspiration

That or any automotive boost gauge would work. Also if you use the tire pressure gauge, make sure you take out the part that presses the little metal part in the valve stem.
