Coco coir expansion question

I have a brick of coco coir im planning on using with my hpoo for substrate and idk how much of the brick to use. I am unsure of how much its going to expand. I am planning on using 1/4 spawn to sub and with 50/50 coir hpoo. I have 5 1/2 pint cakes if that helps any. thanks guys.

1 brick == 8 quarts at field capacity (says it on the packaging)

doesn't say on the packaging. strange. I would like to fill 5 or maybe six small aluminum baking trays with 50% spawn(5 1/2pint cakes) and 50% Substrate(50/50 coco coir hpoo) and so thats 2 1/2 pints of spawn to 10 pints of substrate if I'm correct and in turn thats 5pints coir 5pints hpoo.

right so 8 quarts is 16 pints so use 1/3 of the brick..

So you want 5 pints of coir? Weigh out uh... 2.5 ounces, see where that gets you.
