who said that rainwater wasn't the purest?? i collected so mush rain water, i filled up a 10 gallon and 20 gallon.  Just for kicks i put some fish in it. I dropped the fish in a net so no water from the pet store got in. its 100 % rainwater and i plan to keep it that way :vaped::peace::sunny:

i purposefully bought fish that were pregnant and the next day one had little fishes.

and the 20 gallon

there just happened to be an outlet where i put the tanks at.
I'll probably get rid of the feeder fish and put the sharks in the 55 so i can make it a tropical community

That's pretty sweet. Are you having issues with the water being too soft at all? That would be my only concern in terms of using rainwater for an aquarium.

There was a king that always felt too high and then he fell too low
And so he called all the wise men to the hall
And begged them for a gift to end the rises and the falls
But here’s the thing, they came back with a ring
It was simple and was plainly unbefitting of a king
Engraved in black, it had no front or back
But there were words around the band that said

I was under the impression many tropical fish (ie: shark) needed very specific water in order to be healthy? Wouldn't think rain water would be too good for the Ph levels, and might contain some nasty pollutants.

Goldfish would be a good tester if they live slowly add to the complexity of life in there.

Depends on what kind of shark and where it's from. Some are very hardy. I have an African butterfly fish which a lot of people say is supposed to be hard to care for that has been healthy and happy in a community tank with no special anything for over a year now. So it really depends a lot on the individual fish and tank as well as the specific species, etc.
