Servator, lol! What's your idea of a "real genital piercing" then? Or maybe I don't want to know... The "tribal aspect" sounds quite interesting though.

But yeah, I see what you mean - trying to make up for their inherant natural limitations by ramming a dirty great ring through it... or something.

My septum used to be done with a 4 guage, but I took it out. Now all I have is a 6 guage in my tongue and 2 guage plugs in my ears. :smile:

i'v got my upper and lower lip and my ears stretched to 5/8in. its kind of an occupational hazard. i'm a tattoo artist. i do mostly custom stuff if anyone is interested.

Tragus,Right andL,Conch,1/2lobe piercings,2 in my tongue,nipps,center lip,Septum,and Frenum but dont have it in most of the time anymore but the hole will not shut

i just came home from my piercer's place... got my other nipple pierced... had my left done in june and i just couldnt resist... besides that i have a frenum, my left eyebrow, my tongue and 2 labrets...

What's the appeal of piercings, anyway? Don't anyone go and flame me; I'm being serious here. I can't understand why anyone would want them. Why do you guys (and girls) get piercings?

first, it looks good imo...

second, there is a special appeal in the idea of having something "eternal" as metal through something so mortal like your body... i for myself am going to be buried with my piercings... so they will be lying in the dust when someone decides to open the coffin...

third... it is a tradition... many antique civilisations had piercings, and each of them had a special meaning... tongue for instance was pierced by the aztecs to achieve higher consciousness levels... and the labret was a symbol of status... metal near the ear keeps ghosts from entering your brain...

and last, but not least... there is a special appeal in nipple piercings, and genital piercings... which is the enhancement of pleasure... and let me tell you... WOW...

This is NOT a rumor. If you've gotten your eyebrow pierced at a pro-place, the piercer should have pinched your eyebrow and asked you if you felt any sharp pain or numbness anywhere on your face. If they did not do this before giving you the piercing, then you didnt go to a proffesional place. I got both my eyebrow, and my nipples done at a very reputable place here in T.O. (Younge street tattoos! =P )

I have to say however.
That if anyone is thinking of nipple piercings.......brace yourself.
Once the needle starts going through, it stops being an 'outer pain' and becomes an 'inner pain'. As if little points of pain appeared in a cricle about a meter around you, and then slowly but very surely they condensed into a ball right in the middle of your chest.

Yes yes. Very intense.

Ooo, this is my kinda thread, Im on my way back to 7/8ths lobes, which will eventually be 2.5" or so. 8g septum...stretching to six soon. Centre tongue...also stretching, in order to facilitie future splitting. Also...not a piercing, but mod, I have 3 bands scared onto my left calf. Soon to be getting triple right nostril, and a self pierced frenum. Anyone else got Iam pages?

a typical complaint from women in a relationship with a man with a PA "it smells awful" You have to take out the jewelery often to stop bacterial build up on the barbell inside your urethra...how my piercer put it "if you get it pierced, you wont be getting head"...its why he took his out.

i pierced that excess skin on my elbow with a safety pin one time in algebra class in 9th grade...then later on that day one of my teachers took me to the nurse and made me take it out....then, last summer i tried a safety pin through my eyebrow, but it was too hard so i gave up and took it out.....oh well

Are you 100% sure about this?
This place isnt some lil shithole. They -really- know what they're doing, and are up to the newest standards. I doubt they'd be influenced by urban legends.
A lot of piercers have different opinions about a lot of things, like cleaning methods, etc. They keep saying the other one is wrong. Maybe this is one of those things.

But anyway, i'm gonna trust this place because i've researched, and then asked a lot of questions, and of course they knew everything they were supposed to know.

I'm not saying you're wrong, but i dont think i'm wrong either. So who knows.


And i my gf lives in North york. =P

Look in an anatomy book and youll realize their are no major nerves, nor blood vessels running through the eyebrow area...nor most places that are pierced. That is 100% urban myth. and for cleaning...hands down 1/4tsp of sea salt per 8oz glass of warm water and a soak, or warm saline soaks are the uncontested the best way to heal a piercing.
