Before you do, go look at hppdonline.com.

See how others feel about their hppd. And if you still want to, atleast you will know were to go for help when you need it.

I didn't realize anything was even happening until my HPPD got so bad it started interfering with my life. Driving gets harder, you get extreme migraines for no reason, head pressure as we call it, you constantly feel fake, like your in a dream, Dp/Dr.

Even thinking can become difficult.

If you are starting to get it, be careful, thats all.

HPPD can set in hard weeks after your last trip.

I mostly stick with just mescaline now. I've never noticed it having an effect on my HPPD. And I've known for a while that HPPD can be extremely negative and interfering.

It god so bad I couldn't drink, but after a few years it's the same, but I've adjusted enough that I can enjoy drinking, and opiates again. They affect it for a few weeks, then I go back to baceline. Knowing when to walk away is easy, wanting to do it is hard.

I got mine from a 15 hour mind fuck of 25mg 2-ce, and 120mg of mdma. After that I kept trucking. So on So on. I actually have a trip report of it on erowid.

My HPPD first started when I dosed a 2c-e MDMA combo. It went away after 2 years, and was mild the entire time.

Wow, so the dealer ended up having 2ce, and I have to say, 2ce is fucking nuts! The hallucinations are almost indescribable! I felt as though if I was constantly letting go of my perception and slipping into sheer awarness, I found myself constantly, in this order, forgetting what i was talking about, then eventually fogetting who i was or what i was doing!
I actually dont feel like my hppd got that much worse, although I haven't slept yet. But Im gonna go work out and get rid of all the little energy i have left, haha

I have HPPD up the ass, and it doesn't get any worse then what it is already at so I can take psychedelics without affecting me too much anymore.

It's a good thing

I shouldn't say psychedelics don't affect me though, because they most certainly do. I should have said my HPPD doesn't seem to get any worse then what it is already at by taking psychedelics.

yeah yeah i see what you mean, once i get tripping really hard it doesnt even matter cause im hallucinating too much to notice it, lol! But it makes the comedown a little less enjoyable i think, just cause the patterns from the hppd stay out for such a long time, took me like 10+ full hours to come down at all really.

I tell people this all the time. it has nothing to do with Hallucinogens. PPD does, but the DEA and War on Drugs mongers want you to believe this.

i have done RC's and many substances, I have no PPD whatsoever.

i have heard of plenty of people with PPD of sorts that havent touched the stuff.

please dont perpetrate this myth purple crankey here wont allow it! :gc:

I can honestly say that I had no forms of HPPD before I began using hallucinogens. And I notice my HPPD will share properties of the substance I previously took that caused it.

but would it have struck you as a disorder if it weren't for a whole consensus reality (created by people) telling you that it is? If the term HPPD did not exist?


i agree with cannabischarlie, that "HPPD" does not exist, although I do think that some drugs, RCs, and possibly even LSD are risky business

this coming from a person who the first time they did mushrooms had visual effects lasting over a week and wondered if I had fried my brain, until I realized it was only life all along.  But for a man who lives on wall street, I could see how that would be construed as a disorder

It does its just not NEARLY as widespread as people think, most people claiming to have it arent diagnosed by a psychiatrist.

its out there you just gotta use a crapload of psychs to get it. I think the figure i read was arount 2% of the psychedelic community.

by that do you mean continuously using them all the time, using a lot of different kinds?

i imagine it can give you a perception based on not living in reality enough, that could definitely do it.

i used to use diphenhydramine, (benadryl, but store brand, same shit) to sleep, and I kinda used more than should be used, and probably too often. i would then get sparks and flashes in the morning and all day, and it would get worse.

then it would go away. not a big deal. kinda like marks on a film reel you see sometimes.

I allways figured the people that get it were the people doing tons of acid cause they were laying blotter, or running books or something, Tremendous access.

Ok, before doing any drugs whatsoever, only about 4.5 years ago, my field of vision was completely "normal".

Now after countless LSD, mush, DOC, DOI, MDMA, mescaline, 2CB, and more trips than I care to keep track of, my vision has changed permanently no doubt.

I am not saying that it is necessarily a bad thing at all. Just a different way of viewing the world. I guess only some people are susceptible to it, but HPPD certainly does exist. Some people can handle it and some can't, I guess.

I have lived with HPPD for about 15 years now.

I remember the exact night it happened.

I ate a conservative amount of acid and I was watching golf highlights on ESPN.

I was amazed by the design that was in the grass on the TV.

It looked like a beautiful blend of fleurs-de-lis, boat anchors, skeleton faces, pine trees, and hieroglyphic images of people like from a Fruitopia commercial.

It spilled out of the TV and onto my carpet, and it has never left me.

How could I forget that design?

I've tattooed my brain.

Anything that I look at that has a visual texture, such as carpet, grass, asphalt, or solid-colored blankets is covered in this design.

I always see tracers in certain circumstances, too, like when bright things move in front of dark backgrounds.

When it is dark outside, and I open the door and move my hand (which has light shined onto it from an inside light) between my face and the dark background, there is a total separate, bright, blurry hand behind my real hand.

These things do not interfere with my daily life, but I know exactly what they come from.

People that don't believe in HPPD are in denial, i find it mildly comical.

Believing that your favorite drugs are harmless is so ever foolish.

if i take potent clean LSD i will have visuals last up to 15-20 hours

when i first started taking acid it would last around 6-10, at most.

the last time i took acid was like 2 weeks ago, and im still literally seeing patterns and tracers from it, still waiting for them to go away***

***they wont, i have HPPD. point in case.
