for the OP... what kind of job are you thinking to drop, how old are you?


I'm 25 years old. I work in real estate. I also do lots of work on the side. I own a marketing company which is trying to get it's feet on the ground.

It's really tough to leave because I want to get my company really going - both the real estate (hopefully an investment company) and my marketing company. If I stayed I'd launch both careers and look for personal real estate investments (foreclosures).

If I left, I would be stalling these businesses for at least 2-3 months. But these are the slowest and hardest months in my industry. I just don't know if I can really make it through this part. I'm getting so sick of doing this every day.

Do it.
I dropped everything and left for India/Nepal and ended up staying there until I ran out of money 5 months later.
One of the best choices I ever made, up there with first time using psychedelics. You will not regret it, but instead if you sever all connections with where you are at now and go off by your self you will learn a lot about who you really are and come back completely different.

in about 5 years i'm planning on severing all my ties and driving around the US and canada for a year by myself.
