i tell you what i have you tell me what to cook!

ok so i aim to eat around one hour and a half from now, i'd like to start cooking soon so any idea is welcome!
just keep in mind i don't have an oven, only gas...

i have, pasta, rice, onions, peppers, tomatoes, potatoes, frozen chicken, garlic, tuna, cheeze, milk, honey, ginger, white flower (i'm not sure you spell it like that but i bet you know what i mean) olives, oil, GARLIC, eggplant, tahina (grounded lquid sesseme), eggs, butter, bread, lemon, and all sorts of condiments (no wine)

it can be anything, a salad, a stew, fried or soup...

Make Baba Ganouj! Yummy!!!!

1 eggplant
3 teaspoons lemon juice
1/4 cup tahini
2 garlic cloves
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 tablespoons onion, minced
black pepper to taste
1 1/2 teaspoon olive oil

Directions:

Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Cut off the stem ends of the eggplant and prick it all over with a fork. Place it directly on an oven rack and let it roast until completely pooped (about 45 minutes). When it is sagging, wrinkled, crumpled, and totally soft, you'll know it's ready. Remove it from the oven, and let cool. Scoop the insides out and mash well. Combine with rest of ingredients, except olive oil. Chill well. Drizzle the oil over the top before serving.

Serve with your bread, toasted, and use as a dip for your peppers, sliced. Serve the olives on the side!

get that chicken defrosted, marinate it real quick with some lime and some seasoning, and make up some pasta, chicken and pasta sounds like a good lunch, then make some kool aid  :thumbup:

i guess i could just burn it directly on the fire... but i don't have anything to put it on to do that and i'm not going to spend half an hour holding in above the fire (and probably burning my hands along)

but good idea none the less

Oh, shoot, I missed the part about no oven. Do you have a pan? You can pan roast the eggplant. Slice it into thin sheets, and then heat your pan under high heat. Add the eggplant - don't add any oil - and then let it sizzle. Shake the pan and turn the eggplant until it is soft. It will work the same. :smile:

Soup:

Cut ginger and onions fine
Sauté in olive oil for a few minutes
Add chopped peppers and sauté until soft
Add eggplant and continue sautéing
Add boiling water and stock
Pepper and salt
Apply blender

Drink:

Use ginger juice, lemon, honey and water
Chill in fridge

Main:

Boil potatoes but not too soft
Meanwhile bake chicken in olive oil/butter (50% each) with added finely chopped garlic
Then bake the boiled potatoes
Add some raw cut tomatoes
